When I first saw this on Amazon and read the reviews I was extremely apprehensive. Some reviews said it was cheaply made, fell apart easily, etc. Well? That couldn't be farther from the truth. I installed it. It was easy. I drive with Uber and all my passengers love it. So much in fact, I baught another one to have for both sides of the car. It is sturdy and well made. I'm a late night driver with drunk passengers. If it stands up against them, it'll stand up to most people's abuse. I'm happy with this charger and I'm certain you will be too.

It charges every type of phone or tablet. THAT really is Superlit! ( Love the name)Some pointers after owning several of these Superlit charging stations:1. DON'T use your car USB port ( which likely only has 0.5 amps of output)Your device won't charge fast enough, especially if you're using it.INSTEAD: Use a reputable power bank ( I use an Anker 20100 which has an output of 4.8 amps) (around $60 on Amazon). [ disclaimer: I'm not an electrician or scientist. I just know it charges WAY faster with the power bank]Plenty of juice available in a power bank like that [20,100 mAh] ( and only 6.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 1 inch in size). That's small enough to tuck into your center console.2. The retractable cables WILL wear out over time, depending on the level of 'abuse' by the users.The charging cables extend to a nice length and lock at that point.That's great!A little tug will get them to retract back into position.( But, they snap back HARD if you tug and just let go).Enough abuse will wear the cables out to the point where they will not charge any more( I've had 2 of them end up this way).When cables are extended and retracted with care, I haven't seen any problems with wear. They've lasted.3. One final, "ease of use" note:When someone gets in at NIGHT, it helps to let them know which cable is which.In the daylight, it's pretty easy to identify each ( Micro-USB, USB-C, and LIGHTNING).....BUT.....in the DARK, all you can see is the green lights( and people will often JAM the wrong one into their device)Hope this review is helpful. I’m an uber driver and both my riders and I love this! It’s great to have as uber driver so riders don’t have to ask for a charger. I will say I will have to get a new one because the chargers are starting to have a short in them but I do uber full time and everyday so I get a lot of normal wear and tear on mine. Overall a must buy for uber drivers or for families with kids.

It was a great product for several months but doing Uber the passengers were rough with it and the IPhone cord is stripped and won’t go back in and stopped working all together. It’s a waste of money.

I'm an Uber driver and was looking for an organized solution to providing charging cords for my passengers. I have charging ports in the back passenger area and had regular charging cords that would get left on the floor. I saw the Superlit Retractable Charging Station. I was a little concerned that after time the cords would stop retracting or passengers would be too rough with it but decided to take a chance and check it out. I didn't see a need to have the mini usb cord so I ordered the 3Ft - Mini which has one lightening cord and one usb-C. I've had the charging station for about 2 1/2 months and they're still working just fine. I like the fact that they're lit at the ends so my passengers notice them right away and most are impressed and/or appreciative. Some passengers have a problem finding the sweet spot to make it retract so they leave it hanging or try pushing it back in manually which is still better than leaving it on the floor. Besides I can just reach back and pull it until I find the spot to make it retract. Bottom line worth the $32 I spent and ordering another one right after I send this review.

Its a good item. The installation is super easy and it looks great in the car. No hanging cords is great. Unfortunately, the cables are very thin and after much use from the kids, the lightning cable ripped and now that cable doesn't work. It lasted only a few months.
