YES!
100% completely recommend for empaths. If you have someone who is struggling to understand and take ahold of their emotions THIS BOOK IS FOR THEM/YOU! I was recommended this by my one professor, during our Stress and Crisis course, and I cannot tell you how happy I am that I took their advice. I am very very VERY pleased! The website for the author/book is very easy to navigate and welcoming. Best designs I've seen in a long time when it comes to scholarly and pop culture mix. Any clinical studies majors out there? GET THIS!

Book
This is a pretty good book on learning about sensitivities but the reasons are often due to some type of trauma in childhood, especially early childhood trauma. Most people aren't simply born more sensitive than others but become that way due to a challenging and unhealthy environment. At least, that's my impression about myself and others who are highly sensitive.

Excellent thoughts.
Excellent book! I HATE reading, but I couldn’t put it down!! Helpful activities that I didn’t actually fill out, but are great things to have on my mind during the day! I love the mindfulness portions.

this book spoke right to me
This book really opened my eyes to tendencies I have resulting from emotional sensitivity and showed me that emotional sensitivity is not a weakness, but rather a gift. There are many great activities through the book. This book was best when I went through each chapter slowly and really digested it one chapter at a time.

Honestly, I don't know how this book is yet. I haven't had time to read it. It looks like it is an easy read and has practical suggestions and advice.

Essential reading
What Liked most was how the material was laid out. This work is valuable for therapist in practice working with persons who are thin skinned and show emotional vulnerability.

worth reading
I have found this book in places compassionate and in others more practical. In the beginning of the book I felt that the author had a good grasp of what it means to have emotional sensitivity - and at times I got the sense that it was a bit generalised. There is an emphasis on behavioural changes - hopefully anyone reading this will realise that they are unique and no one size fits all. That said there are enough practical ideas in the book to be helpful. I think it is a gift to have emotional sensitivity and the more the gift can be harnessed - especially spiritually, the more the individual will feel better to be themselves and accept their innate emotional sensitivity. There is a world of love waiting for the emotionally sensitive person - hopefully this book is a worthwhile stepping stone in that direction to anyone who can make use of at least one idea in it. I recommend also reading other books on sensitivity for validation such as Elaine Aron's HSP and Ted Zeff's 'The Power of Sensitivity.' Enjoy!

A great book for anyone hypersensitive to remarks and opinions
This book is a must-read for the emotionally over-sensitive. I know that this is how I am, but had not known how many of my distressing feelings and behaviours were due to it. There is excellent advice on dealing with debilitating emotional reactions, such as being floored by criticism and perceiving rejection where none exists. The final chapter on dealing with loneliness is especially good; I've realised that wrongly second-guessing others' reactions to me and distancing myself accordingly is why I have few close friendships. It's a long journey, but this book can be a trusted companion
