My Favorite Hotsauce
Should preface this with I am a pepperhead. I grow sometimes 30 varieties of peppers a year (though I'm toning it down this year cause I've finally grown just about every type there is). This is made with Rocoto peppers, which are awesome. Juicy little bombs of joy. This is my favorite hot sauce. I'm glad they updated to a plastic bottle with a more secure tamper seal. I've gotten a bottle before that didn't survive shipping and had burst open so this bottle will expand enough to prevent that from happening.Heat Profile: It's got a good start to let you know it's there and then it slowly builds up until it's a gentle roaring flame and it vanishes suddenly except for a little tail to remind you it was spicy after all. Non-pepperheads might think it's too hot, but I'd label this one as medium-mild. The best feature is definitely the crescendo.I mix it in with ketchup for spicy ketchup or use it on a sandwich with some mustard. It goes good in vegetable soup. The garlic and spices with the hot sauce aren't overbearing and will mix with a lot of stuff. You can eat it straight from the bottle if you want. This is real hot sauce so it will expire. None of that "boot-shaped state" watered down stuff. They put the expiration date on there in big bold numbers this time so heed their warning. Use it or lose it.

Some heat and a strong peppper flavor, but not much complexity
I was expecting something sort-of similar to sriracha sauce, but this sauce was quite a bit different. The sauce has some heat and a pretty strong flavor of peppers, but there isn't much complexity here. I finished the bottle, but I won't be re-ordering.

A hot sauce with real flavor, not just a kick
Delicious. It's a shame that I can't find a Peruvian-made rocoto sauce online but this Central American sourced hot sauce is very good, if a bit expensive.

Authentic Tasting Rocoto Sauce
This sauce is the best Peruvian sauce I have ever bought in the US. Whoever makes this sauce knows their stuff because it tastes very authentic. Even though it is made in Costa Rica, the owners must be Peruvian because it tastes like a good rocoto sauce you would get in Peru... I bought this 3 times off Amazon. My only issue was the price being a little high, but it's so damn good I keep buying it!

Was Not Airtight -- Sauce Leaked through Plastic Wrap
I grew up eating rocoto as my father was a Peruvian native who loved to cook. Unfortunately, the Ajinka bottle I received was either faulty or had been in reckless storage for a long time, because I found that the exterior plastic wrap that seals the bottle shut had become fused to the bottle itself...with the rocoto salsa itself acting as the bonding agent. You can see from the picture that I couldn't even scrape all the wrapping off with a knife. It was sticky all around the cap and when I finally was able to pry the cap open, it smelled extremely sour. The color was almost neon orange -- far from the color of traditional rocoto salsas. I want to try how it tastes but all available signs indicated the sauce had spoiled. It seems like many enjoy this product, but I seriously question how the seller packs/stores the product after it's made to have received one this bad. Just know that you risk the same possibility as I did in receiving a bad product. Personally this scared me off and I won't be ordering from here again.

Best Peruvian pepper Rocoto
I love the Rocoto pepper, my Peruvian son-in-law uses it in ceviche. This sauce is amazing, if your into hot sauces this one is a must.

Nice and Hot but not quite rocoto flavor
Nice and hot, but the flavor isn’t quite right. Tastes a little too artificial. The heat really lingers, though
