Oh so good!
Carrie nailed it! This is one of the most convicting and refreshing books I’ve ever read. The stories and historical context that Carrie weaves through this book is compelling and beautiful. The reader need not fear feeling condemned or pushed to self-improvement for the cause of acceptance or Christian performance. The themes are explored in a tone of graciousness and authenticity as Carrie “goes first” in sharing out her own hard-won lessons. This book will inspire you to walk in your truest identity in every sphere of your life from the inside out. I highlighted a third of this book and will be re-reading it to soak in the wisdom Carrie has poured out in these pages.

Captivating
THE NOBLE RENAISSANCECarl BuffingtonCarrie Lloyd draws you into her book in many ways! For one, she uses words like an artist. Her canvas is quite simply a joy to read. For another, her stories and illustrations are sometimes heart wrenching - they are always captivating. But what I found most alluring was her vulnerability and honesty. You can’t help but think, if she can go there, so might I.Where is she taking us? Into caverns of character carving where each small moment makes all the difference. When you get done following her through her twists and turns of righteousness, perseverance, integrity, humility, self-sacrifice, courage, wisdom, facing pain, and love … and you think this is not feasible, even well beyond possible, she hands you Grace!“You are already noble, for Christ’s crucifixion tells us so. And God didn’t place these virtues, these stories in the Scripture, to tease you, to deflate your morale. He would not play out these colorful characteristics if they were not already available at your fingertips, if they were not already in your bloodstream. Why else do we cry when we see the lost welcomed home the blind gain sight?”A friend of mine liked to teach on the topic “transformation through affirmation.” When I read Carrie’s CONCLUSION, I embrace her affirmations as touches of the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, and I realize she is ultimately drawing us is into the very heart of our ABBA.

Speechless
I write this to say I'm speechless. I picked up a copy of the book, because I saw it on Amanda Cooks IG. I began reading it, not knowing anything about Carrie Llyod. This book spoke to me and really challenged me to think about who I am & what it is to be noble. Thank you so much Carrie Llyod.

Nobility is invaluable!
WowThis book is timelyThere is so much going on the world today, and there are a lot of opinions about how to solve the issues we see in the media. But perhaps nobility of character, is the “unglamorous”, “put in the work”, righteous way of getting there.I’m grateful for Carrie’s perspectives, full of gleaned wisdom from spiritual heroes, vulnerable and powerful stories, and scriptural truths.I highly recommend this book and will be sharing it with all my friends.

Poet as a Novelist
This book was like Christmas to me! I've been following Carrie for years, always waiting for a new podcast or piece of writing to come out so I could listen and learn. When I heard about this book release, I bought it immediately. She is a poet as a novelist and her words draw you in with content and style. As a strong woman, I greatly value learning from other strong women who are living out their purpose. The Noble Renaissance is a book for this era. I've almost underlined the entire book, trying to refrain from over posting quotes on social! I live with a strong desire to love well and serve well, and she provided me with tools to live in nobility. She writes, "I did not leave the church during my twenties because of disbelief in Christ; I left the church because it responded terribly to sinners." In her book, she shares how to love people well and live with integrity, not to make our way to the red carpet but to live out who God called us to be. THANK YOU, CARRIE.

Self reflection for Christians
It's a book that holds you accountable to how you relate to others and how to walk closely with Christ. In this "me, me me" centered world we live in, this book challenges you to be selfless, but loving to yourself with humility, and best of all knowing the love that God has for you regardless of your performance. The book focuses on biblical virtues that we can all emulate in our daily lives. Even in the midst of our brokenness, with his strength we can choose the road less traveled, and meet others with the level of compassion God has for us all.

Brilliantly written, compelled me forward in developing nobility
Lloyd is a deep thinker and her thoughts and vulnerability are delivered through brilliant writing. I’m only a few chapters in and have laughed, cried, and been compelled forward on a journey of developing nobility to the fullest extent possible this side of Heaven. I encourage you to dive into this book and soak up the wisdom and storytelling it carries!

Highly Recommend!
My gosh, The Noble Renaissance.. Inspiring, convicting, and sharpening- it will make you think and encourage you to grow. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve squirmed with conviction (honestly, much needed) and I’ve put down the book to try and make it last longer. Pick up this book, read it with a friend, and pass it on. It’s so good!
