I purchased these WiFi Smart Plugs b/c they DO NOT require a home hub (separate controller purchase) in order to get Alexa/Google Assistant to ‘control’ them. Like other customers the EZ mode didn’t work for me and I had to switch to use the AP mode to ‘recognize’ the plugs in my WiFi network. I feel this will be a common hurdle for most so I suggest just starting off in AP mode. It’s a lot like how you setup your Alexa speaker in the first place (use the Smart Life app to give the app your WiFi network credentials and then you directly WiFi connect to the smart plug in your WiFi network (available to join) list.)A second sticking point in the process to ‘recognize’ each smart plug is that after the 2nd step where you hold down the button for 5-seconds to initiate ‘pairing mode’ and the blue lights flash quickly...on the 3rd screen the Next button (see pics) won’t highlight and allow you to click it unless you tap this bubble radio button to add a check mark and then you can proceed thru the process. I was stuck at this point for awhile and nearly returned the units until I accidentally brushed by finger against this bubble and it checked off and I was able to proceed. The GUI could use some tweaking so that this step is more obvious. But I’ve shared pics to help anyone who’s reading this review.Once it’s setup it’s a breeze to connect to Alexa or Google Assistant, and works flawlessly after that.

These Teckin smart plugs are super simple to set up. With the Smart Life (Tuya) app installed it took under 2 minutes to register the plug and sync it with my Google Home Mini for voice activation. "OK Google...Turn on the Desk Lamp."These plugs will support a maximum load of 10 amps or 1200 watts, so they are well suited for use with most any household electric appliance / device / light. They seem well made and more than likely they will work fine for many years to come. I have had similar models of these switches running for 2+ years with zero issues. I feel confident I won't need to use the included 12 month warranty that came with these Teckin switches.The Teckin plugs can also be used out of the box with the free Home Assistant software, without any flashing of the plug firmware. The available Home Assistant Tuya integration allows you to connect these switches with other smart devices in your home and get them to work together. A prime example is if you have a motion sensor in your bathroom and a light connected to your Teckin switch, you could write an automation to trigger the plug to turn on the light when motion is detected in the bathroom and then switch it off automatically after 10 minutes. Not only does this make life much more convenient, but with COVID-19 basically impacting everyone's daily routines; simple home automation innovations like this can really help to reduce the amount of human contact necessary with knobs, switches and buttons that have been known to cause the virus to be able to easily infect others.

First of all these smart plugs are very intrusive, upon installing the app they want your email address and/or phone number to sign up for an account with their app. Inside the app they ask for your wifi password...red flag...now the CCP can snoop on your network. Read the terms of service they will collect all of your internet browser information including what websites you visit. I could never get the Smart Life App nor the TECKIN app to discover/recognize these plugs and I tried every single option/ez mode/ap mode. The plugs appeared to be DOA. Returning and won't be using again....these CCP smart plugs collect way to much information and are very intrusive.

These plugs are a great item to automate your home lights and appliances. I have installed them on my Christmas Tree light and other Christmas lights. They can be programmed to turn on and off or you can set a timer s necessary. I also use them for all room lights where you can give verbal commands through your Amazon Alexa devices or Google devices. They can be setup individually or as a group. Would highly recommend especially for elderly people who can just verbally command a light on or off rather then the need to getup to turn on or off.

Just to preface, I am an Engineer and have home automation throughout my house. The brand I use for all my automation costs about $45/module + several hundred for the automation hub to communicate with a smart phone. For our Christmas lights though, we needed to switch 8 receptacles on at once so my normal brand was not cost feasible. At this price point I had very low expectations that the devices would work as described, but the high reviews led me to give them a try. We purchased 2 of these kits to achieve 8 pieces for around $50 which is insanely inexpensive given that they are equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and have a built in hub with RTC to allow scheduling and automation. So setup was a bit tenuous as it took >30s per unit for each receptacle to be "discovered" by the app, but they all came up and are impressively responsive. Through the app, I was able to set up an "All On" and "All Off" grouping and add all 8 devices to it. Now, we can just hit one button to turn on (or off) all the Christmas lights at once. If you're looking for a smart outlet, these are the ones to use. I have no idea how they can make these units (much less sell them) for this price, but they worked for me without a snag; even the app is easy to use (and free). I don't use Alexa nor would I ever have an "always listening" device in my house so I can't review that part, but it terms of everything else - they're great!

Si llegara a necesitar más, sin duda compraría más de estos. Les he puesto números para identificar en dónde está cada uno dentro de mi departamento y saber qué estoy controlando.

Fácil de instalar, sólo hay que leer bien las instrucciones y seguirlas.Muy buena calidad por el precio que pagas y funcionan rápido, no hay retraso al ordenarle apagarse o encenderlo.

Me gusto que llegaron mas rápido de lo esperado. El producto se ve estético y de calidad, son muy sencillos de configurar y usar con la aplicación y con alexa, se pueden establecer ciclos asi que se usaron para programar la bomba de agua y programar los horarios de las lamparas de las habitaciones, los volvería a comprar, los recomiendo ampliamente.
