Good markings on the board, love the mini-usb
I use this as a secondary Arduino Uno, Programmatically, there is no difference that I can tell. The reset button is in a good location and all the pins are well marked for which are PWM. Take a picture before you put a shield on it, because the markings are not printed on the back side of the board for reference. The Mini-usb is great because it doesn't collide with a shield like the full sized USB plug on the standard Arduino. Also, the Mini-USB is much stronger and solidly mounted (four SMD solder pads hold the housing in place) than the fragile micro-usb used on other boards. The teensy SMD chips give it a nice modern sleek look. I think we have a winner.Oh, and it's red which is pretty cool.

My go-to boards for Arduino / Small Electronics Projects
The board is slightly less expensive than buying genuine Arduino boards, but you get the quality and reputation of an American made product. I've successfully used Arduino Uno clones from eBay, but I now prefer these sparkfun redboards. They work great every time. The board and the ecosystem created by Sparkfun makes for alot of fun.I do appreciate the USB connection is smaller so that I don't have problems with shields that attach.

Perfect For Windows 8.1 , 64 Bit
If you have Windows 8 this is the Arduino Uno R3 to get because it comes with the drivers installed. If you have ever gone through the hassle of trying to get a Arduino Uno or clone to work with Windows 8.1 , 64Bit you'll know what I mean.

Good fun, great product
I use this product all the time. My nephew and I are always thinking of some fun project to try with our RedBoards so they have had a lot of use and keep working without any issues so far!

Arduino based SBC
Red board still taking a lickin and keeps on tickin!

Three Stars
Only marginally better than the regular Uno. The lack of boards with micro B connectors is disappointing.

Essentially a Cheaper Arduino Uno with a different USB Port
Pretty much identical to the Arduino Uno, the only difference being it's red and uses USB Mini-B. And since I have more of that kind of cable, it works better for me.
