Knives Ranch Damascus Steel Knives 6.75" Knife with Bone Handle and Leather Sheath

Update: I droped it from waist hight and the handle shattered. I mean for the price it is what it is but I have seen better quality execution from 8 dollar kitchen knives. After grinding the heel of the blade it is much better but the amount of finnessing this knife needs out of the box to make it decent should steer you away. There most def are cheaper and better made knives. SO if you still want to buy this know you will need to resharpen, possibly reshape the blade, and be willing to remake the handle again as it will not hold up to edc use. my original review is as follows.1- the heel of the blade is much more pronounced then it looks in the pictures provided.- not to much of a problem however it does affect the grip alittle. as is i can only get three fingers around it and i have smaller to medium hands but i can tell that without the exaggerated heel i would be able to fit all four. I plan to shave it down myself anyway so im not upset about it.2- moderate imperfections in the handle.- the handle although smooth, had obvious imperfections like substantial filler in the bone and the ends not being even. still, not a major issue nor does it affect the use and function of the knife.3- sheath is slightly different than what is in the picture.- the sheath i got extends the length of the handle instead of ending were the strap is like the provided photo. however the sheath has good retention and feels secure, I dont have any complaints really.4- knife came with a pretty bad bur right out of the box.- the edge had a bad bur from being shapend from the factory. i ran it on my blocks a couple times and honed it and now the edge is decent. i think with a proper sharpening it has potential.Update: Havent had time until the other day to work on this knife alittle. I finally ground off that horrible heel and the knife is way nicer to told. Upon further inspection I found more minor flaws.5- Hollow ground bevel is uneven- the hollow grind isnt uniform from the base to the tip of the blade which makes sharpening very difficult or not worth it without fixing the grind.6- handle cracked by the lanyard hole were the bone is thin because of filler.7- spine of the knife is uneven.8 - whatever matirial they used inbetween the bone and the tang is protruding and very noticable in the hand.Im still not mad at this knife but thought anyone interested should know that this knife isnt polished out of the box. you will most likley need to make some alterations and fully resharpening before it will be decent.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift - he was thrilled at first sight and immediately posted it as his favorite gift. He was able to use it a couple weeks later, and felt it was perfect in every way. He liked the fit and look of the leather sheath and how it felt on his belt. He was extremely pleased with the size and fit in his hand and said he was impressed with the way it kept an edge working to skin a deer (frozen, by the time he got to it, offering more challenge!).
