Good stuff
Great value. Works well. 10x better than doing it by hand.

Works really well !! Nice crimps - easy to use.
This crimper is not very cheap, but it is well made and works extremely well. It is easy to use.It is important to make sure your lug is filled by the cable's wire. If the lug is bigger than the wire (actual fit, not the labels on lug or wire), you will have the excess lug material squeezed out of the dies to form "wings." If the lug ID closely matches the wire OD, your crimp will be perfect: not a hint of "wings."I fear that wire labels have become optimistic (inflated): actual metal in the cable is less than what the cable's label says. This can lead to ugly crimps - if the person crimping relies on the labels and doesn't check the actual fit between lug and wire. I found some cable labelled 4AWG that fit very nicely into a lug labelled 6AWG - at this combination made a wonderful crimp using the 6AWG/16DIM dies. Had I used a 4AWG lug and 4AWG/25DIM dies on this "4AWG" cable, I would have produced a loose crimp with pronounced wings. The dies are labelled in the DIM system, but a conversion to AWG is included. I used a paint pen to label the dies with AWG sizes. This conversion table is accurate.

Fantastic tool
I am in my 60s and worked on big trucks all my life. I used to solder battery cables etc together, but when I saw this tool, I had to have it. It works great. Every crimp I make with it is perfect.I even use it on smaller wires such as alternator and starter wires, and because it comes with a large selection of sizes, you can pretty well crimp any wire you want. I am very happy with this tool, and would be lost with out it.,Thanks for making a great tool that saves alot of time.,, Wes May

Super simple to use....
I don't use this thing on a regular basis, but it is great to have around when I do!Easy to use, and so far seems super durable. When it comes to two way radio installs... This will handle the big power cables!

Professional Crimps ... Not easy to use
Very well made. Strong and sturdy. Easy to pump the hydraulic handle but designed to be used with three hands, especially when working with larger gauge wire/cables (ie. 4/0). The various gauge guides cover the gamet however do not seem to be labeled or sized accurately. To crimps 3/8" copper lugs onto 4/0 battery cable, the user guide indicates using the "120" size die which barely made a dent. However, I got great results using the die size of 95, followed by a second crimping using 70. Very secure and professional looking results. Would love to find some sort of "bench" crimper that would lay flat on a bench where you could feed the lug into the jaws and operate the compression handle. Admittedly, using crimping smaller gauge wire should be far easier but then again, a hydraulic crimper for smaller wire is likely not necessary. I bought to crimp battery cables and while a challenge, it did do the job.
