Robust tool rests are the best available, don't bother looking any further. They stand up to use, and the hardened surface does not require any maintenance. Simply the best available, and the quality control is second to none. You won't be disappointed. Wish they were less expensive, but they aren't over priced.

Works well!
Thr rest is just fine for my Rikon midi lathe. The one that came with the lathe was OK, but a little short and needed to be moved often. I have a bigger lathe, with a longer Robust rest and find both very well made and "robust".

Works great. Good finish. Exactly what I wanted even though a bit pricey.
Great tool rest, a MUCH needed upgrade from the stock rest on the Nova Comet midi lathe. I'm quite happy with it, although it is a bit pricey.

Excellent tool rest!
All Robust products are excellent - and made in the USA! The hardened rod will not nick or dent so your tool slides very smoothly. A grat replacement for the short stock tool rest that came with my Jet mini!
