Safe and sound.
This review is for Sound Town 4U PA DJ Pro Audio Rack/Road ATA Case with 13U Slant Mixer Top, 23.5’’ Rackable Depth, 4 Space Size - Pro Tour Grade (STMR-4U)This is a very sturdy case. All the parts fix snuggly together. Considering how strong it is, relatively speaking it is light, but I must say it is not a feather weight. And once I added the equipment to it, it takes two people to move it. The crown amp that I put in it weighs a lot, but I don't want to give the impression that the case is extremely light. In my opinion, it weighs what it should to be the quality that it is. When the case is moved after fully loaded with mixer, amp, and two small speakers,(amazing we could get all that in the case) there is no twisting or turning of the parts of the case. Everything is solidly secure in the case. I do nor thing that this case is water proof, nor do I think it claims to be. However, I can say that on the day I delivered this case to my client containing their entire sound system, we received a very heavy rain as we carried the case from my truck to the house. The case was always kept in it normal orientation, so it was not turned on its side in the rain. However, the case was completely wet on the outside. We dried it off with paper towels, brought the case inside, opened it, hung the speakers, powered it up and played music immediately because the was no moisture inside. That requires some pretty precise joins between the base and covers. I will be using this type of case for more if my equipment. I think the price is right for the quality that you get. A suggestion I would make is to have two handles on each of the long sides. With the case empty, it is fairly balance while holding each of the handles in the center. However, with that crown amp more on one side that the other, that one side is heavier and thus the handles in the center make picking it up a little more difficult because the case wants to dip to the heavier side. 4 handles would make it more stable. I am still giving this case 5 stars because it really met all of my needs for this sound system.

I love it - Great size and easy to transport
This was the perfect solution for me. I was able to add my soundboard to the top and my two wireless mics I was able to rackmount below.. I am very happy with this product. I like how all the pieces come apart so it opens up so I’m able to access the cables easily at an event and then when I’m done I just attach all the pieces to the box again less than a minute and I’m on the road.

Great quality product but has newances
The case itself is an awesome product, but the rack mounting rails are cut in such a way that u cannot fit 4ea 1U devices, only 3ea 1U devices fit and even with that bolt hols do not allign for last unit. Will upload pics later.

SUPER AWKWARD!
I bought this to replace our original carpeted sound cube (the handle broke after more than 15 years of loyal us). This was lighter, which I really liked. However...being longer, it was incredibly awkward to carry and actually made the job of moving it harder. This was compounded by the fact that the handles were set closer to the front than the back, which made it even harder to lift and move. I needed to bring a small hand-truck with me everywhere. Not only that, but the material was much cheaper (probably the reason for the lighter weight) which could be seen by some of the rougher fittings. I wasn't expecting perfection, but for $300, I was expecting far better than this.Overall, you couldn't pay me to use this again. It's currently collecting dust in my basement acting as a table at the present. I gave 2 stars because it is fairly sturdy, just not engineered at all for easy (or even reasonable) transport.

Very nice piece of gear.
Sturdy, well made piece of gear. Perfect for my smallish live stage PA system. It was advertised as a 4 slot rack however I could only fit two Behringer amps in.
