Not as big as I had hoped

First let me say I hate leaving a bad review on any store. Opened 20cc oxygen absorber pack and immediately put them into Mason Jar and closed it. I noticed they smelled like strong chemical. I placed 300cc into (8) 1 quart Mylar bag then sealed it accordingly. None of the oxygen was absorbed in any of them. I even pushed as much air as I could out of the bags before sealing. I don’t know if I got a defective patch. Definitely didn’t like the smell of them either.

As i opened the bag to transfer the remaining ones a air tight can the little pink paper changed color to blue and all of the little bag started getting hot. I was able to only use 10. And im not even sure if they worked because i still see air in the bags. Waste of money. For the amount of money you pay they should be individually packed to avoid things like this happening.
