A nice broadhead
I am very much a fan of these broadheads, and they work as advertized. My first day of the season this year I took a doe for herd management, and because I wanted some wonderful venison in the freezer. This was my first time shooting this new broadhead. I noticed immediately that it flew more like the field tips that I usually practice with. It was a good solid hit, and did plenty of damage. I am very happy with the product. There is one thing I do not like about expandables though; I notice that they tend to open up in the quiver, sometimes even "inverting" when I am moving around the bow in the case. It makes me nervous to use my fingers to fold the blades back down into their normal position. Also, when I hit my deer my arrow broke, and I could not find the broadhead upon field dressing (which I did most carefully). I informed my butcher that there was a broadhead unaccounted for, and he seemed a little more nervous when he heard it was an expandable.Furthermore, it seems like it would be MUCH more difficult to change blades than it was with the older, fixed blade broaheads, and these fixed blade broad heads work better with broadhead wrenches. For all these reasons I am deducting one star, but I am still happy my buddy recommended these broadheads because of the increase in accuracy I perceive.A very nice product.

There are better mechanicals
Rages fly like feild points but the slip cam design is questionable whether your head will open during flight as well as open properly on impact. I've switched to ulmer edges that have a solid design that will never allow the blades to open during flight and guarantee to open on impact. Swhacker also makes a great head that you'll be able to have full confidence in. Rages work but there are better designed heads out there.

Amazon is selling deffective damaged products
I felt compelled to write this review. I ordered 3 packs of this because I know this product and I'd give 5 stars to it. However each pack was visible damaged, not because of packing, but because it was sold that way. They are taking the damaged leftovers from the stores and putting them online. I do not have time to return it. I'd rather pay twice more in the store. They do not state that the products you will receive are literally second-hand. Frustrated.

I'm Sold!!!
These are the first expandable broadheads I've ever purchased. After years of using the old school, fixed broadheads, I finally was intrigued to try a set (thanks to the hunting shows and great marketing by Rage). So, I ordered the pack and yes, it was a little confusing how many broadheads came in the package and how many practice heads, but after going to Rage's sight I determined it was 3 broadheads and 1 practice head. After receiving these, I was skeptical about the claim of them flying like your practice tips, but I will 100% promise you, THEY DO!! I'm sold on these and it may be another 20 years + before I try another broadhead. I did not have to make one adjustment to my sights...and I practice out to 60 yards. The moral of my story is, don't be suckered by everything you see on TV, however, you aren't a sucker if you try these!

Worth the price
I'd been using fixed blade broadheads in the past, but decided on friends advice to try the Rage. I thought they were expensive when I first purchased them, but after my first deer, I'll never go back to fixed blades. I'm anxious to get in the field and try them out again!

Works great!
I used these this year on my first ever bow hunt and it worked great. My arrow flew straight and the broadhead opened up a nice triangle in both sides of the deer as it completely passed though. It worked great giving me my first deer ever taken with a bow.Being new to these I didn't know not to shoot them into a target, I know the give you 1 practice tip, but it didn't say any where on the package not to shoot the actual broadheads. Live and learn...I would defiantly recommend these to anyone and everyone.

Rage is nto effective
I have shot about a half dozen deer with rage and I have one buddy who has shot a couple. He uses two blade two inch and I use the three blade. We have both hunted for over 30 years and archery hunted for over 20. My review is based on the results we have had.We were both very excited to shoot rage due to the broad range of positive reviews. Prior to using rage we had combined lost a total of four deer in our lives. We live and hunt in Maine so our opportunities are limited and we have probably harvested 50 animals between us. While using rage broad heads we have shot a total of 8 deer in the past 3 years. Out of these 8, 2 were never recovered, 2 were luckily found, 3 laid out a red carpet to follow and one was shot from above and hit in the spine and never moved. All were complete pass through. Here's the problem we have had. On the 2 deer we felt lucky to recover, the deer barely bled. The trails exhibited these characteristics. They showed clean blood on the arrows and blood at impact. Trail was difficult to follow for the first. 50 yards until the animals slowed down. It was clear that blood was not passing through the exit wound. After this, blood trail would improve for the next leg and start to be very easy to follow. After about 10 to 20 yards of easy tracking, the blood again became a dribble. Based upon the attacks it was clear that this was not due to the animal running again. These deer were both recovered the next day by using toilet paper to identify the tiniest of blood trails. Each deer had low exit wounds completely plugged with internals of various nature. Huge pools of blood were trapped inside. I have attached a picture of the most recent deer. This animal was at 10yds from about 20 feet up. The shot deflected after entry bit still took one lung and the liver. For the 2 deer not recovered the scenario was exact until the point of recovery. My conclusion based on our experience is that the rage broad heads are not slicing through cleanly after hitting bone. The blades get damaged upon hitting bone and drag through versus cutting cleanly. It should be noted that I have changed the blades on each broad head after any use and they are not even shot into a target before use in the field.
