GODDESSwomens Lace Bustier Bra

Definitely go two bands up & two cups down!
After reading the other reviews about going two band sizes up & two cups down, I ordered a 42B instead of my usual 38C (in Victoria's Secret). I couldn't go down two cup sizes, because this bustier doesn't come in an A cup for the 42. The fit is perfect. It is neither too tight, nor too loose. I do have to fasten the hooks in the front then turn it around to the back. That was a bit tough, but when it's on it's not uncomfortable. The elastic at the bottom gives it more flexibility & also blocks the ends of the boning from poking into me. The cups are a rounded Madonna-like shape & are slightly big, but VERY slightly. I had to find a strapless bra for a bridesmaid dress that has a wrap look around the bust with an empire waist & low back (from David's Bridal - Long Mesh Dress with Cowl Back Detail). When the bustier is in place & the girls are in, the top center of the bra, where a small bow is located, pokes out of the dress when I move, so I will have to put in a small pin to hold it. If I pull the bustier down slightly while wearing the dress, it creates a dent on the top of both breasts. I had this happen with a VS strapless bra too, so I put that down to the dress being weird. Other than that the fit is fine. I do recommend following the rule of sizing two bands up & two cups down, or one in my case. Hope this helps!

Great Customer Service.....Not a great garment....
I rarely write reviews, but given the headache with this particular bustier, I thought I would. I do want to compliment the customer service however. There were no headaches there AT ALL, and my shipping/refund (for all three attempts) was quick and painless.Thank you!Now on the garment its self:I am a 36FF-G(depending on the brand).I have a small rib cage and large girls and a smaller waist. The "sister sizes" to my size often do not work for me. I am getting married early next year and was in need of a strapless bra for my upcoming first fitting. Obviously, at these sizes, finding a strapless that fits and stays in place for under $100 is nearly impossible. And I often prefer the structure a bustier provides. So I was excited when I found this one and the good reviews regarding it.First Attempt: Given the unknown of the bra, I followed the advice of the reviews and ordered two brand sized larger then my normal size and two cup sizes down: 40DD. This was HUGE. I strapped it down to the last row and it was still way too big. Didn't provide any shape or structure. Looks like a bra my grandmother would wear. The cups were very large and went high on my chest(way above the girls. They were swimming in it). Had a gladiator in lace feel......So I returned it. Thinking I was ordering online and the first attempt wouldn't be quite right.Second Attempt: I ordered a 38FF. I was still thinking about the advice in the comments indicating it ran small. So I figured I would order my cup size but one size up in band. This was better fitting, but still too large. My girls had room in the cups and (again on the smallest row on the band) it slipped down and didn't provide great structure......Returned again.Third Attempt: I ordered a 36FF. I wanted a 36G, they didn't have it at the time. It came, and fit much better then the others, but still didn't fit. The middle section of the bra (which is supposed to lay flat on your chest) pushed out(meaning it wasn't big enough) however here was odd extra fabric(like under the girls on the sternum and high on the chest, meaning it was too big). But the waist section fit and did provide shape.HOWEVER, given that this was the first time I was actually able to SEE the shape it could provide.....I had to return it again. The others have mentioned "Madonna Bra" effect and its VERY true. Your girls are OUT there and pointy. They are perky to the point of 'what the heck is she wearing". I put a shirt on over this and it was comical. And the waist clinging effect(something which I would normally be grateful for, I dapple in waist training) was too structured, I couldn't bend and it was obvious though the clothes that I was wearing a contraption of some-sort.Overall, I would not recommend this garment unless you want the pointy boob look. If you do, I would size according to your waist. If you have a relatively small waist in comparison to your top, go with your normal band size. If you carry a little extra there, go up a band size and down a cup size. Also....have another pair of helping hands available (you are not getting this one on by your self!)

It definitely hold the girls!
This bra does what it is supposed to do. The problems I had was 1) very hard to put on yourself so if you don't have someone around to assist you will be working hard for that hold! 2) cup size is way off! My suggestion...Go at least 2 cup sizes down and go up 2 on the width (I'm a 40DDD and should have ordered 44D). I ordered 44DD. It was still tight but comfortable. However, the cup was still a size too big so I am returning for a 46D in the hopes that I am able to maneuver the bra better without help and that the cup fits better.

Great for larger women! First strapless bra I've been happy with!
I wish I could have chosen both "Somewhat small" and "Somewhat large", as it's both. It fits a bit smaller around the back than expected, but I'm glad I ordered a smaller cup size (DD) than I normally wear (DDD), as suggested by other reviewers. The cups are quite large. I may have done well with even a D cup. As a big person, I was very pleased to discover that this bra gave very good support and is the first strapless bra I've ever owned that I feel confident in wearing without worrying about sagging or slipping down. I also like that it's lower in the back so that I can wear it with all of my clothes and not worry that it shows.Another reviewer commented on how it shapes the breasts a bit different than many are used to right now, and I agree that it does give a little more of the "torpedo" look more common in days past, but for me, I appreciate that it doesn't squish my breasts together and make a "uni-boob" or deep cleavage. Cleavage is forbidden in my workplace and this bra lifts and separates well so that I can wear almost any blouse or dress and not worry about exposing more chest than is professional, as well as not having to worry about bra straps sliding down my arms in sleeveless tops/dresses.I also like the longline style as it smooths the back, gives a little extra shape to my waist, and definitely makes me want to sit up straighter. Always a bonus! The only "con" is a personal one for me. I would have liked it even better if it fastened in the front rather than the back.

sizing is tricky, but good once you get it right
Third version of this bustier that I'd ordered. Very tricky to get your actual size right, but once you do, product is great. Fantastic support and quite comfortable.

Very disappointed
The bra area was clearly not designed for real boobs unless your boobs are shaped exactly like coke cans.
