I did not, my ordered was canceled. They said it was out of stock...like ok why have preorders or allow me to preorder it at all!

Amazon canceled all of my Sailor Moon preorders and now the prices have been doubled on some when they were relisted. Any idea why?

A little late to respond to this question, but I'll do so anyways. I preordered this for my friends birthday and mine was cancelled too, along with my preorder for my DIO Grandista figure. So I've lost any trust in pre-ordering from Amazon. I believe 3rd party sellers bought up as much as they could and that is most likely why the prices doubled. They figure fans would pay anything for their favourite figure. Even if it was an issue with delayed shipment from Japan, they (Amazon) should offer a notice saying so but I'm sure that's not the case since again it was most likely bought by 3rd party sellers. On my Dio one it still says "order recieved" cause the notice said if I would like to wait for the order.. After about a month and a half I decided to buy him for 11 dollars more than preorder price since one of the sellers (Genki Anime I do believe it was) had him for 35.99 which was better than seeing him at 66 for a while. So the options are 1.) wait till another seller lowers their prices (be sure to click their store names to see their ratings and if its from US or Japan. Cause there will be people selling the Chinese knock offs) 2) Order off another site like amiami or TOM 「Tokyo Otaku Mode」or 3) Wait and see if Amazon ever comes through and honours your order when they're back in stock. Which I feel will be a super long wait if you do decide to wait and see. That is if they gave you an option to wait or completely cancel your order. Either way it is frustrating and sad that Amazon doesn't seem to keep count of how many they have in stock versus people preordering. They really should close preorders once they reached the limit instead of causing false hope to people expecting their items and instead to be disappointed/heartbroken/or mad that their order has been cancelled AND to see the figure they want double or triple in cost
