Daksh Tyagi is like Buddha!
ANOI is written in a very conversational style and you would enjoy reading this book as it feels as if you are talking to a friend. Which basically means that it has no “big” words and can be understood even by someone like me! To make it even simpler, the book is divided into ten short chapters covering topics like the Indian Man, State of Women, Raising Kids, Sexuality, Politics & Religion and a very helpful final chapter about “How to defuse an idiot”. Mr. Tyagi’s sense of humour is zordaar and I found myself laughing out loud in many places, which is quite rare for me while reading a book. But more than the humour, I loved his metaphors. They are brilliant! Simply brilliant! He explains very difficult and serious issues with such simple yet striking metaphors that it reaches straight to your heart and in the middle of the chuckle you’ll go WOW with your eyes wide open! Another reason why one would enjoy reading this book is because the references are quite contemporary and we all have been through the things mentioned in this book together and very recently. Remember, demonetization? I recommend this book to every single person who is reading this. I will definitely shove it down the throat of all the people that I know because I feel that we all need to read this, if nothing else, just to laugh at ourselves! It is a great first book by Mr. Tyagi.

First book of 2026 and it was worth it!
Book condition: Good, printing is good as well. About Book: I loved reading the book. It is a satirical take on society and brings a new perspective which you keep on admiring as you go along. Writing is very conversational style and this makes it very easy for beginner readers. Who should read this book? - If you are someone who lost habit of reading and would like to resume, this book can get you HOOKED from start to end - If you like "Out of the box thinking" or gathering "new perspective" then you would appreciate the new ideas. - If you are someone who takes everything on FACE VALUE and doesn't understand layers behind the curtain then it might be helpful Take away: Fun read, it helps you analyse how idiot you are and how can you become a good citizen, it also helps you identify and staying away from IDIOTS in your life.

Just Average!!
If you are a person who is following political satires and social satire shows especially for the last 10 years then you don't need this book for around 400 rupees. The book is an easy read and author try to put the pieces together in a decent manner. But lack of depth in each section/chapter of this book made most of the author's ideas seem like half cooked dishes. May be the huge expectations about this book made me felt unconvincing after completing the book. Still it's not worth the price that we are paying.

Daring Opinions
This book has all my opinions about Indian stupidity combined with witty stories that reflect our country. It's as if Daksh simply took a stroll in my head and pointed out the obvious stuff through his own experiences...... which I was too scared to ever say out loud. I couldn't put it down at all, read it one sitting. One moment I was enraged by the unfairness of our reality and the next I saw hope for our nation. This book is like a twitter war waiting to happen. I can see "Anti- national " in big bold words on a news channel with Daksh's face smiling through the screen as if saying * I stand corrected about the level of Indian Idiocy. *

3.5, rounded to 4 stars
An intelligent book, packing a decent amount of wit and loads of relatable questions. Yet, two things that I found irksome. 1. The author left it late enough to let us know that he too belonged to some level of idiocy before getting better, so till then, at least at places, the book felt like a holier-than-thou preachy exercise. 2. Of the chapter on racist incidences in his neighborhood, it seemed weird that he chose to believe his personal experience and philosophical stance of ONE friend in the media to drive home his point. If I believe solely my opinion, there is hardly any crime in the world and no one's dying of hunger, but that's hardly true, but "I haven't seen any such thing that the world says". Having said all that, a witty commentary that makes you think and nod in agreement (at most places). So, 3.5 stars for me.

One of the best books I have read and enjoyed to the core
Normally I don’t feel like writing reviews as they are time consuming or I am plain & simple lazy. However, this book changed my mindset. I was laughing like an idiot in the middle of my reading and thoroughly enjoyed every page of the book. Absolutely great piece of writing in a very humorous way and very informative. Loved his writing and have already ordered his second book. Just loved reading this book. Very genuine piece!

Bro woke up and chose to trash idiots! 🛐🔥
No one suggested this book to me.. "A Nation of Idiots" wow the name sounds interesting let me buy it.. That's it! Loved the way he used very simple yet quirky language with very relatable references to show the plight of Idiots that surround us! The book wasn't boring anywhere.. the flow of chapters were too good and it peaked in the last chapter! The author asks us to keep questioning like a child and how we can move from being an idiot to a smart citizen! Highly recommended to read! ♥️
