SPYPOINT Cellular Trail Camera - 10MP, 80' Detection, LTE-Capable, 0.5sec Trigger, for Hunting

For the price of the camera, I have been very happy with it. It takes clear pictures and the monthly fee for the unlimited plan is reasonable. The only problem I have is, it seems although I feel I have set the plan not to renew, it does! Maybe there is a step I am missing but this has happened a few times..

Easy setup and watching hunting spot

First I will start out with when all my camera's were new this would be a 5 star review. Clarity is great, 100 pictures free didn't bother me, I can always grab the SD card and download the rest. basically flawless camera's for the first 2 years. Now to current issue. 3 out of my 4 camera's now get water in them, causing corrosion and battery issue's. I contacted customer support and after a long chat I was pretty much told i got 3 worthless camera's now. One of my camera's according to customer support is offline because the batteries died during an update. If this happens the unit is frozen and will not work. You can not even send it in to get it fixed. I called asking if they sold new seals to replace the ones I had and they don't offer that either. Its pretty sad to spend close to 500 dollars in camera to get responses like "must have died during upload", or "We don't sell seals, and they are out of warranty period"...Sorry.So yes for the first 2 years they are great camera's, after that plan on no help from spypoint and get the wallet out to buy new ones. I would look at other camera makers first though. Very frustrated with Spypoint.......

This is my second trail camera. It may not have the quality or features of some higher priced trail cameras, but this is a good deal! The setup was easy, and the pictures are good.

Small in price, but big in action. This small trail cam provides great photos with a lot of other data, including GPS location, weather and feedback on the battery level. Ability to share photos is very beneficial. I recommend this trail cam as a first choice for cellular trial cams.

Great item

I ordered this because the price was low and I wanted to try a cellular trail cam in my woods. I have many years of experience with trail cams. Setup, activation and testing was quick and easy so that's a plus. The quality of the photos that get sent to your phone is terrible. 40 kilobyte files that have nearly zero resolution. You can see that its probably a deer and maybe that it has antlers or not but much more than that? No. This is most likely a bait and switch tactic to get you to buy 50 "HD" picture downloads for $5. No HD downloads are included in the "Premium" unlimited plan if that makes any sense to you. It doesn't make any to me. I can't comment on battery life yet since I just put it up today. Here's the big problem... The focal distance of the lens is NOT wide angle. It has a very small coverage area. Its almost a telephoto lens in its coverage which is a real problem for a trail camera. You need to see a WIDE area when using trail cameras to mark game, not a narrow field of view like this camera has. Poor design or, it is intentional to get you to use more cameras to cover the area properly. Either way it is a deal breaker and I won't be buying from this manufacturer again.

The model sent is not cellular as shown. The instructions are for a cellular. I waited for weeks on arrival. Mmm

The camera is small and compact, battery life is phenomenal.

Camera can’t be used in Canada. Should be advertised somewhere or not able to purchase in Canada. Glad I wasted 120$ on a camera that doesn’t work.
