Another Great Book
I love this book and can't wait to start creating some journals and other assorted books for different occasions. The illustrations and directions are excellent and so many ideas for binding and book ideas. Great book! Will make many books with these ideas.

Adventurous!
Astonishing. Precision with ease, the way all instructions should be. Ms Zamrzla has expounded upon an already classroom-ready book and created a superior sequel.

Book Making at it's Best!
I do a bunch of paper craft projects each year, and I would actually say that paper crafting is one of most favorite hobbies. I also have an 11 year old daughter who is an inspiring author. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I received this book to review. This is a very unique book with information on a very unique type of paper craft, making books! The book offers plenty of full page photographs of each and every one of the completed projects. It also provides detailed step-by-step illustrations for the reader to follow for each project. The projects themselves are creative and inspiring. One of my favorites is the Stargazing Journal, which is made with a planetary cover you can shine a light through and see the constellations on a wall! Each project is carefully and enthusiastically explained by the author, who provides an overall earthy tone to the book. The author presents herself in a manner that is friendly and entertaining, which is evident from the opening introduction. I encourage crafters and paper craft enthusiast to check this book out!

Repetition
If you already have "At Home with Handmade Books" by the same author (Erin Zamrzla), don't bother with this - I reckon about 75% of the content is pretty much identical. If you don't already have the other one, then this is fine- just don't buy the other one, for the same reason.

Not enough pictures of finished product
There are some okay project ideas in the book but unfortunately, there are very few photographs of the finished product so you aren't really sure what you are making until well into the project. For instance, the photo for the "Treasure Hunt Collection Bag and Notebook" shows a view of an open paper bag . . . there are reasonable good direction illustrations, but I would like to see a realistic photo of what the finished project truly looks like before starting a project. The techniques are fairly simplistic, if not a bit clumsy. This book might be suitable for a young teen.
