2024 Grand Highlander hybrid XLE

I went to New York for a few weeks and shortly before leaving I woke up to a hideous cluster of scratches on my driver side back door near the handle. I can only imagine a drunk person tried to "unlock" the door to get in. Geez! This paint matches perfectly for my 2015 Toyota Camry. I am not a professional car painter and obviously it doesn't look like it. But at least it's painted and not bare metal. I also found some other flecks where paint had been nicked off and repaired those too. Those spots blended in much better than the "goodbye present from NY". I will say that the thinner each coat of paint is, the better the end result is. Very happy with this paint.

This was the only paint I could find on Amazon that had good reviews for the color actually matching. And it does, perfectly!Unfortunately the paint is difficult to use. I have painted cars and fixed scuffs before so I have some experience. I'm not a pro, but you shouldn't need to be to fix a scratch. The kit didn't come with instructions. It's easy to YouTube info though. The paint is incredibly thin. This means that it's impossible to sand between coats. Even with 2000 grit it sanded right off. Every brush line was visible and I even used high quality brushes (it comes with some brushes which are okay) with very fine bristles. I tried for over a week and a half to fix this little scuff and the photo I attached was the absolute best I ever got. From far away you can't see it but with from a few feet it looks really bad. Weirdly, if I tried to add another coat, no matter how long the prior coat had to dry, the coat underneath would partially rub off when I applied the new one. I guess whatever solvent they use is so harsh it redissolves the layer beneath it. Meaning that I couldn't possibly add enough to raise the paint up, so the scuff is deeper into the car than the not scuffed area around it.Overall I'm disappointed. The color matches my celestial silver Camry perfectly, which is ultimately what's most important. But the paint is so thin that it's a huge pain to use and unless you spray it, it probably won't turn out great.

This paint is good stuff! That stuff you buy at the car parts store can't hold a candle to this stuff! Every once in a great while you run into a product that just superior to everything else you have tried. The color match is extremely good, but that is not everything. You get a really nice set of small brushes, some gloves, and a small card to use to match paint. I bought the first set about 4 weeks ago. My car is an Attitude Black 16 Camry former rental car with 46000 miles on it. It looked like it had been driven on oiled chat roads. The bumper and hood front felt like sandpaper. In one 8” by 14” spot I counted 125 paint spots on my first pass and only got about half of them. I have about 75% of the panels done now including the hood, and the car looks utterly amazing. I have achieved utter invisibility in well over 99 % of the holes! Undetectable by touch and any angle of sight! And from a foot away! Some of the holes have taken 15 to 20 coats of paint or more to fill, as I am still working on the remaining 1%. It takes a LOT of time, willingness to do something what seems like a million times, extremely careful polishing with a diaper, and mostly just spit as the compound. Since in the process I have essentially spit shined everything and then apply a really good wax, the finished panels look better than new while my car has kept its original paint. Since I now have nothing but time, this seems like a good way to spend it. I have since bout six other kits, 2 extra black (used 1 ½ jars already and they give you a lot of paint) Classic silver for the wheels, paint for my other two cars, and a different silver I have mixed with a touch of black to match the grey paint in my grille. I swear this has raised the value of my car several thousand dollars. Incredible! I love this stuff!!

Needed paint to cover a scratch in my car. Was concerned the color wouldn’t match. But wow am I impressed. Once dry, the paint matched perfectly and you cannot tell it was used to touch up my car. Very happy and will buy more as needed.
