Could be better but it will still get you there
I am really quite peeved that in studying this book for the exam it has several sections where it claims "we are not going into detail about this subject but you will need to know this for the exam" but then refer's to a technet link. It wouldnt bother me if this was a huge book to cover this information. Also there are a few objective review questions that dont have explanations in the preceding context so it can be a little frustrating that you cant be prepared to answer the questions unless you go to the internet for further information.Other than that its the only full book on the market as of now to cover this exam so it is what it is.

This book alone can get you past 70-697. Author didn't do a great job though.
The 70-688 and 70-687 books had a clearer layout and contained less errors than this book. Though this book covers all the topics you need to pass 70-697, the content jumps around, and could be laid out much better. I also generally disagree with what Andrew decided to cover in depth, vs what he chose to condense and leave to technet articles for further elaboration. Moreover, having skimmed through it once, I already have about a dozen errors to send to Microsoft on this one. Andrew wrote the 70-687 book, and I was surprised in what I feel was a sharp turn downward in quality and attention to detail in this book. Having read it once now, there's at least a dozen errors I was able to find - nothing huge that would cause a fundamental misunderstanding of a concept, but more like, "this kid didn't proofread his essay enough before he turned it in." This book also contains a LOT more whitespace than the 70-688 and 70-687 books...there's some areas where I can't help but wonder if they were just trying to artificially inflate the page count. You won't see what I'm talking about from the content shown in the "peek inside" preview, but you'll remember this when you've bought the book and are reading it - which you should. The book itself, despite my contentions, is still GOOD. It's just not the same quality I expected from him. If you want the most condensed study guide you can get, that will still prepare you well enough to pass the test, this is it. If you don't understand a concept in the book, you need to go research it before moving on. Once you can read the book from start to finish, comprehend everything he's saying, and remember most of it, you're ready to take the test. On a side note, the one thing I'd suggest coupling this with would be the 70-697 course from cbtnuggets. The overlap is between this and cbtnuggets is 100%, with cbtnuggets being even further condensed. The value I find there is that I remember things better when I see them presented twice in two different ways. If you're REALLY good at remembering things and visualizing what's going on as you read, you don't need to do labs. I've been doing Microsoft tests since server 2008, and have always passed them without the labs - not always on my first try, mind you. On a final sidenote, you should really invest in the $200 booster pack version of the exam voucher when you are ready to take the test.If you've found my review helpful, please mark it as such. Likewise, if you have any questions, please leave me a comment. I do my best to reply to peoples questions within a week. Thank you!

Good, but a few aspects I found lacking
For under $20, its a bargain. Lots of topics, and relevant information. On the kindle edition, the biggest flaw was how the review questions are laid out. Questions at the starting of the chapter would not have answers posted until the end of the chapter (40 pages later). Flipping back to see what the question even was once you get to the answers was cumbersome (on Kindle, anyway). Use bookmarks at the beginning of each review/question section to lessen aggravation. The inclusion of external 20+ Technet and other links was also irksome. Felt like, "Gee, this would take a LONG time to write about, just click this instead" I saw this too often. But for $20...

Almost adequate; rushed and it shows
Today, on attempt number three at the test, I passed the 70-697 exam. This book was my primary study resource, and while it obviously did help me to eventually pass, it was not without a lot of unnecessary frustration.Simply put:If you are looking to pass the exam using solely this book, you will need either a fair bit of luck, or extensive personal experience and familiarity with PowerShell and a number of tools for managing devices. If you are willing to spend a significant amount of time researching a few dozen Technet articles as prompted by this book, you have a fair shot at passing with minimal luck. This entry was my first into the MCP testing arena, and this was my first ExamRef book. It does indeed cover most of the main tools and technologies that show up on the exam, but as other reviewers have mentioned, there is an unforgivable amount of "you need to know about this, here's a URL--be familiar with everything you find there!" with no additional guidance, and far too few examples, to follow those up with. At one point the book even states "there's no space in this book to give you example scripts, go look them up online" as if saving page space was (or should ever be) prioritized over comprehensive topic coverage. It really is that bad. Now, I do realize this exam's scope is quite broad, and the technology covered is constantly changing...but my problems with ExamRef don't stop there. The "Thought experiment" and sample questions were generally adequate, but occasionally would ask about topics that had never been discussed in the book at that point--even in the URLs you're directed to--and in rare cases, never covered in the book at all. Horrendous editing errors and oversights (asked to choose between 4 options to answer a True/False question, that sort of thing) caused far too much scrambling online to make sure I wasn't going crazy. In the end, the book is "almost adequate." The worst part is that this book was published in 2015, and despite a number of factual errors, typos, "review" questions either in the wrong section or introducing things for the first time, and information on one page contradicting what was presented the page before, my single biggest problem with this book: no errata has ever been made available, no addendum or corrections, no new editions or revisions. It was written and the author immediately went on to write the next Exam Ref book which, from early reviews, suffers similar problems. A technical exam reference book has no business having such a poor editing process, and Microsoft being the publisher makes it baffling. My final impression: this book was rushed, with lazy (i.e. nonexistent) followup support by the author or publisher. It will get you past the exam, but be prepared for a lot of legwork and unnecessary frustration to get there.I haven't read it but would strongly encourage taking a look at the white cover "MCSA Microsoft Windows 10 Study Guide: Exam 70-697" book first to see if it fits your needs.

Zeilen Text, Office365 Clickt-to-Run 6 Zeilen, Windows To Go 1 Seite.

Clear and Usefull
This book is quite clear and usefull to prepare Microsoft Exam Ref 70-697. It contains usefull examples and many external technical insider documents. By the way, as it has many reference to Microsoft's knowledge base, I think the price for digital delivery of this book is quite high.

Bon
Parfait.
