Surprised at the performance
Purchased about 2 yrs. ago for a small project I was doing. I'm now painting my kitchen cabinets and am stunned at how well they work. I started with an acrylic paint which was horrible, no matter what was used to apply it with. Very thick and developed little chunks in it which would have to be picked out once the paint was applied to the cabinets. Switched to a satin finish paint and am now just breezing along. I had been using a small sponge roller, but was not that happy with it - difficult to get on even. Thought I'd give these a try and WOW! Rolls on very easy, covers great, paint can be spread lightly or more heavily - depends on what you're looking for. When applied, you initially see the fiber marks on the paint; however, as it dries they smooth out and give a nice, smooth finish.I decided to put a satin poly finish on the cabinets. I'm using Varathane Ultimate Water Based Crystal Clear Satin (it's winter in MN and wanted to avoid the smell oil based has!!) Most poly's state to not use a roller as they can leave air bubbles. I decided to try using these anyway - applying to the bottom of a shelf from a cabinet in case it didn't look too good. Again, WOW!!! Perfectly smooth finish. You can apply heavy or thin. I applied thin and put on two coats. Absolutely perfect finish. Additionally, I have not seen any shredding of the rollers. So pleased, I ordered another 10 pack of these little gems to finish the entire project!Helpful hint: I'm doing my cabinets in small sections and hated to wash rollers and paint trays since I wouldn't be ready to paint again for a few days - well, actually it's closer to a week or two 'cause I get sidetracked with other things. So, I put the poured poly/tray and the wet roller in a trash bag, wrapping the bag around the handle of the roller, and tie it with a twist tie good and tight so no air gets in. Is good for a week, at least, with no drying out. Saves money on buying new rollers and time and water in cleaning everything up.

Pretty poor roller covers
The most positive thing I can say about these is that they don't shed. The problem is that the fibers are not resilient, so the rollers that start out at around 1 1/8 inch diameter, end up being three-quarter inch diameter after about a half hour of painting. That means you're having to push harder to get the paint into the texture of whatever you're painting. I would give them 2 1/2 stars if that was an option. I've had much better luck with the "best" roller covers from the "orange" building supply store. They are reasonably priced, come in packs of six, and I will usually clean them and reuse them if I'm using latex paint, and the paint has not been on them for hours and hours. A trick I use on both brushes and rollers is to dampen them before I dip them in paint; it makes them much easier to clean.

IME, best buy behind the Purdy 4 inch mini rollers
I'm painting my whole house little by little so I've had a chance to buy a ton of full size and mini rollers. In my experience, the Purdy have have been the most consistent--but at a much higher price, two for $6 or $7.Since I got tired of washing them, I tried these at a good price, 10 bucks for ten bucks which is a great deal. I use.tjese for smaller walls doors and tight spots where a full size roller might be a bit cumbersome. To my delight, they worked fantastic! Worked as well as the Purdy. Good paint pick up, zero lint just like the more expensive Purdy. It delievered a smooth almost spray painted look after the paint had dried. If I didnt know the brand, I would think it was a much more expensive roller. I really liked how they performed.I was happy with them and was going to be greedy and stock up on a few 10 packs. But recently, it showed a one or two month expected delivery date, then they went unavailable, bummer:(. The Dynamic two pack was available but at a whopping $9.15 for a two-pack. I guess word travelled fast that they were a quality roller and the price skyrocketed. Although they are great quality, for me the price they are charging for the two pack is outrageous. I'll get the Purdy brand instead at a better price and keep searching through the countless 4 inch mini rollers that are sold in the 10 pack. At the moment, they appear to vary wildly in quality so Ill keep looking and reading reviews until a similar quality roller multi-pack shows up.In the meantime, if someone has the scoop on whats the best value in 4 inch mini rollers, let others know. We could all benefit. Thanks

Easy to use, minimal splatter! These are my new go-to to paint.
These are AWESOME to use. Much better at not leaving splatter. Easy to use with those Paint Handy paint holders. Okay, not only easy but a dream to use. I painted 3 rooms, no muss no fuss and easy to just throw these away when done. Used a piece of tinfoil to pull off roller and discard. Will NEVER use those old 12" rollers. What a waste of paint. Whoever thought of these was Wayyyy overdo in their design and function. I want to paint now (now if someone could do something about the cost of paint and those lies that you can do it with one coat.......) ;-)

Disappointed doesn't really cover it
I got these because the great reviews, but seriously people... just because it is "environmental" doesn't mean it is any good if it SUCKS.The cheapies I get from (boat dock store) work a lot better than these. These press flat in moments and the end has no fluff compared to other types I have used, and they becomes totally useless after barely any use. I use others to rub paint into the edge on siding, but with these I have to do every edge with a paint brush first. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that they might be useful if you were only doing a little area of flat wall.... but still.... order the other ones that are a little cheaper per roller... they are a better deal and look like they are the better quality I am used to.

These are a great value compared to the ones at the local home ...
These are a great value compared to the ones at the local home stores. The biggest thing is that these don't shed any lint, that was an issue for me as I am using them with oil-based paint to paint steel. They leave a good finish and are cheap enough I don't mind tossing them when done.

Price was good and it's always good to have a few around ...
Haven't had occasion to use these yet. They seem to be similar to ones I've used in the past. Price was good and it's always good to have a few around for touchups.
