I wasn't sure this was going to work for me. I have a bird feeder that I like to place high up on a tree. There is a broken off limb from which a small birdfeeder can hang, and make feeding convenient & a bit safer for smaller birds. The small pine squirrels love it, too. But it was difficult balancing the birdfeeder with just a pole. So I bought this and it has worked beautifully. There was a little bit of a learning curve on where to grab the feeder and how to hold & lift it, but it didn't take long to figure out the best way.I have since used it for various things around the house, such as getting an extension cord positioned underneath a large king-size bed. So it's definitely been worth the cost of the tool for me. It folds up easily for storage. You have to make sure, though, that you have it secured when in the extended position. I have it collapse a couple of times because I didn't "pull it down" tightly prior to starting to lift it. (User error and no damage done.)Because of its extreme length, I would say that it has limited use, unless you have a specific situation like mine.I do not think it will hold extreme weight because of its length (it would 'bow'). I'm not sure how much the filled bird feeder weighs but I would think no more than ten pounds if that.I am very pleased with the purchase of this. I have used it now for almost one year and it has held up beautifully. Very well made. I will definitely look to ArcMate for shorter reachers as the need arises.

I actually used this for an odd application. I had hand surgery and didn’t have the use of my left hand for a while. My brother installed an owl box for me when he helped with after surgery. We didn’t know at the time that cedar shavings needed to be placed in the bottom. So, since I can’t use a ladder and have to get up to the box that is at last 15 feet up, I bought and used this. It was very sturdy and did the job of holding all the shavings very nicely.

It seems a bit flimsy and the grip isn't that solid. It would be ok for picking up leaves or light branches but I don't think it would be able to hold much weight.

Product came looking used all scratched up very disappointed at the packaging for the price I paid it doesn't look like it has quality to it

Absolutely what was needed! We purchased this to use when mowing grass with a 73" Bush Hog Zero Turn Mower. The length was needed to reach the ground around the mower while cutting the grass. We used clips to adhere the Reacher to the mower - now we don't need to either go around items on the lawns, or dismount the mower to pick them up; the Reacher is always with the mower! A great product - sturdy and works well. We believe it will last us for years to come!

I use this product to pick up trash in a inner city office building yard and parking lot.I have broken 2 different grabbers in the past.This product is much better in design,the suction cups can pick up cig butts easily to my surprise. the long length is a great asset to pick up rubbish that ends up in our cactus plants. I hold the reacher hockey stick style and am able to clean lots fast. I highly recommend this product.excellent design.

This EZ Reacher Pro is a very sturdy unit for being 6ft long. The grip is amazing and it can pick up a spray can of paint with ease. We use this for reaching down 2" & 4" tubes that are 5ft in the ground to grab things as small as 1" in diameter. Saves a lot of digging by being able to grab things that small. Excellent product.

I bought this to move mouse traps around the attic. It’s long enough, but soo long that it’s difficult to use one handed. It’s also difficult to maneuver in an attic because it’s soo long. I wish I had returned it for a slightly shorter one. The locking mechanism still works good and has lasted for most of a year while being stored in the hot attic. It’s only been used 4 or 5 times though, maybe heavier use would wear it out faster. I’ll update if any parts fail.
