Bait & Switch: Alphas Undone - Book One Paperback – February 9, 2016

This book is a little different than the previous books of Kendall Ryan's I've read. I really enjoyed this twisty romance and all the surprises that we got in it.Lacey is new in town and has motivation to get close to Nolan, what that motivation is, we don't get to know for a long time, but her plan goes to crap when she actually likes him and starts to feel for him. Nolan is an ex-SEAL and doesn't do commitment or relationships. He has his roommate Daniella that is his sub, and their "relationship" works for him, so when Lacey enters his life, everything he thought he wanted doesn't seem right anymore.As this book progresses you can see Nolan struggle with his feelings for Lacey. He knows he's not the romance and boyfriend type, but even though he fights it over and over again, you can see how far he's fallen for her, but he feels loyal to Daniella and everything they've been through together. At times I wanted to strangle him for not being more open with Daniella and explaining how he felt, because I got the feeling even though she was with him for a reason, that she was stronger than he gave her credit for. They were each others crutches and everything was fine until Lacey entered the picture. Lacey tried to be understanding with Nolan and his relationship with Daniella, but you could tell quickly she wouldn't be ok with it in the long run, because she was starting to have real feelings for Nolan (even if she knew things wouldn't go well once he found out everything she was hiding).The back and forth between Nolan and Lacey is sweet and sexy all at once. I loved how Nolan kept thinking he wasn't good enough, and couldn't do anything more than what he was doing, but he was proving himself wrong over and over again throughout this book. When it comes to his job Nolan is extremely professional and you can tell how much he loves it, so when the twist in this book happens you can see why it shocked him, just as it shocked most of us who read this book.Bait & Switch definitely has an interesting love triangle. There's Nola and Daniella, his sub and roommate, but there is also Nolan and Lacey. Both of the girls know about the other, and neither of them are in a truly committed relationship with him, so I didn't see this book as cheating. Nolan was open with both of them about each other, but I knew someone was going to get hurt and even though I knew who I wanted him to end up with, I still felt bad for the other. I was really expecting more of a dramatic exit for one of the girls, but I think things ended perfectly for them, all of them.There is definitely a bigger story than just Nolan and Lacey (and Daniella) in this book, and I was like WHAT?! when I go to it. Bait & Switch had the perfect blend of suspense, steam, and amazing writing. I was weary going into this book, and the first chapter or two I was like hmm.... but after that I really got into the story and Nolan's story. I definitely suggest picking this one up today, and I can't wait to read Greyson's story!

Once I started this book, I could NOT stop! Nolan has issues with love, he has seen a lot and how it can destroy people.. So, he keeps an open relationship .. He even discloses this upfront to the women he meets. Nolan also has a soft side, he met Daniella- she is a sub and was abused by her Dom. Nolan feels forDaniella and takes her in and makes her feel safe and they have an open relationship oh they are also roommates. One night while Nolan is out, he meets Lacey and he can not explain these feelings for her and he explains his open relationship rule, yet he asks her out and as he continues his dates w Lacey, he doesn't touch Daniella... Lacey really thought she could do the entire "open relationship thing" she had a mission also ,... Her own secrets and needs, but now those are blurred and feeling for Nolan are real and she wants him ,,, all of him! So she asks Nolan to choose, because she can't do it anymore.. This book has so many levels in it from hot and sexy Nolan being with woman and moving on, also he is 'ex-navy seal, yet he can not stop taking missions, it is in his blood!! So he hides another side to him .. Then there is Lacey, she has many secrets and they are going to unravel and come out, and when they do... Nolan and Lacey may just find they are more connected then ever before.. The sexual tension and the hot sex scenes are off the charts.. Can Nolan get over the betrayal and secrets he finds out about Lacey (she is not who she says she is) he begins to question everything.... Good book and enjoyed reading.

First let me say that Ms Ryan is a new favorite author of mine. When I woke up this morning and was notified that Bait & Switch was on my kindle app, I was soooooo excited. Normally I read one book at a time from start to finish. I can't read two or three books at the same time, because for me I don't dive deeep enough into either story to get a true sense for it. Plus often I start mixing up story lines and characters, which is confusing. But I was so excited to read this book that I stopped reading the novel that I was half way through just so I could devour this lovey in one afternoon!This is the first book in a new Alpha series. This book is set up very differently then most of today's romantic fiction. We have the pint of view change each chapter which is refreshing, but we also have a fe chapters were we have a yesterday person who sound demented and definitely up to something, but we don't know who this person is, how they ar conn cited, and to which character they are after. I personally loved, Lacey and Nolan. Nolan is ex navy seal who now works for a security firm (similar to some other stories out their). The whole book doesn't revolve around his macho work life,but actually reflects on the D/s relationship he's been involved in for the last 2 years with one of his best friends. Then in Ali's this sweet little thing who has some secrets. Lacey seems like she has a sorted past. She moved to Texas and works a s***ty part time job and an animal shelter. Why don't get into the juice seat ails of who she rally is until later in the book. We do however have Nolan and his feelings of not wanting love, and not rally understanding any emotion until it bites him in the ass.I loved the character development in this book. The characters seemed real to me, which I really loved. The writing was well done, as well as the edits. The story is steady with a few twists and turns that leave you wondering what's going on. Definitely worth picking up, and I can't wait to see if the next book is about Greyson!

A little different to your basic Seal/Security romance, its not a straight forward twosome there's a twist in fact more than one. You also have a bit of BDSM thrown into the mix, drug gangs as well, just to keep you on your toes. Its nice easy to follow reading, with a bit spice and edginess thrown in. Lacey is running from something and all she's looking for at first is protection, that soon gets complicated. All these characters have very deep issues that affect how they deal with relationships, its an interesting and complex story one I enjoyed. This is the first in a new series by Kendall Ryan and I very much look forward to reading more, she's never let me down weaving and creating books that you can just get lost in and enjoy. Relating to some of the issues or even all just adds to it even more, its well worth reading.

I loved both the characters of ex Seal & now a protector Noel & Lexy who wants Noel's protection but not realising after she goes to him & asks for it, she falls in love with him, then even what could make things worse he finds who she really is BEFORE she can tell him. What well become of the 2 of them.

This is a great read. I wasn't too sure at the start but I'm really glad I kept reading! The hot alpha ex seal that has only been surviving life after leaving the navy meets the new girl in town and changes his life.

loved this book. I do like a' who will he choose' book, Kendall never lets us down with her books would recommend to everyone

Really enjoyed this great characters and story, always a good read from Kendall, must read you won't be sorry.

A hot, sizzling read with an UBER sexy ex navy SEAL alpha male - do I need to say more?!!!! This book pushed my usual boundary as I usually don't like love triangles BUT what I loved about this story was that Nolan was honest and upfront about this with Lacey. I loved Nolan's protective and loyal side.

Sweet book not to much drama I don't usually like triangles but this had a clear winner so not so bad Lacey was sweet and strong and Nolan was very alpha male the push and pull was good the anticipation built very nicely lovely HEA

Really enjoyed Lacey and Nolan's story. Different from previous romance stories I've read. But I think the author did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not one for love triangles but for some reason, this one works!
