Best $49 I've spent this summer!
With COVID-19 I haven't been walking as much or as far as I habitually do, and I feel it with lack of lung power!I thought this was worth a try. WOW I love it, I can "walk" while the TV or music is on and get my steps in effortlessly, but feel the good effects of doing it.It is a lot better made than I thought it might be for the price, very sturdy, and I'm a tall and heavy guy. This pistons are powerful enough to give you a good workout, both cardio and legs. and you can set the incline for flat or hills. The counter shows how many steps I take so I know how many blocks I'm walking!Okay, this is helping me, as an older guy, to get back in shape, and I think it will last a long time. And all for the cost of a month at a gym.Highly recommended.

worth the money !
i canceled the membership at the gym , i was not committed to go even 2 times a week to begin with and decide to get an affordable equipment for home , im not an extreme exercise person so i figure if the product was poorly made i wouldn't brake it so fast right ? .... to my surprise when opened the box was to find out that its really very sturdy stepper not with delicate finish but strong , i don't really care for ANY electronic meter that counts calories ,or if the resistance cord is average( i do have weight that work better for me ) , i go for time spend at exercising so i would care less if the meter didn't work (or comes with ) but in my case it works so i use the timer ! .... the only things that concern me a little is :-THE PLASTIC PULLEY DISK , i think that when the rubber covering the metal cord runs out , the disk will be burn /melted/destroy with the friction .The product comes w/2 years warranty , the manual doesn't show any information of where to get replacement pieces if needed but instead an email address & phone #.

All in all, a productive purchase
Hokay, easy to assemble? Sure, worked right out of the box. Sturdy? Ummmmm...there is a cable that goes around a wheel on the bottom and that is what makes the pedals alternate up and down. Without it, neither pedal will rise. Ask me how I know. Did you ask? The blasted wheel fell out five minutes after I pulled the unit out of the box as I was moving it to another location. I had to work to get it back in, and to be honest, I’m still not sure how I did it, but I did and now it is working WONDERFULLY. I flipping love this.I keep it near the kitchen and hop on when I’m microwaving something, or waiting for something to boil. Personally, I’m not sure I could do sustained periods on this just because it’s a very small range of motion, but who knows? Maybe for a TV episode or something like.Any reviews that say the arm bands are too loose are spot on. I’m 5’2”, 145 lbs and have to have my hands up to shoulder level before I feel any resistance at all. I solved it by looping one of my resistance bands around the base and will do bicep curls, tricep extensions, lateral/front shoulder raises, etc. I probably wouldn’t have bought it if not for this lovely virus that has so many places shut down, but I’m glad I did buy it. It’s been a great addition to my home and motivator to move.I am disappointed that this is clearly a recycled unit that someone else must have returned, based on strategically placed scuff marks, it absolutely was not brand new.

Didn't work
The media could not be loaded. At 1st it was making a loud crunching sound while in use. I just jumped on it really quick to get a feel for it. In a few steps the sound was loud, however I thought that part could be manageable. Nope. The next thing I noticed was the counter. I set the machine to the side until I had a chance to read the instructions. I wanted to be sure the noise and no display wasn't user error. Manual says it should come on with the 1st step. I was on it for 5 minutes with no display power. I had my phone in my pocket to count my steps. It seems to only really work the thighs. I'm okay with that. It's a lower impact variation of the elliptical glider I use. In 5 minutes I did about 450 steps and got my heart rate up to 140 bpm with no sweat. As far as a workout, it is a low impact option to other forms of exercise. Boring, yes - very brain numbing. I can increase my heart rate to 150 bpm doing 50 squats and 50 pushups. I could feel my thighs tightening as I used this machine.I gave it 1 star because it's noisey. For a brand new machine it sounds worse than my 5 year old glider. Plus the display doesn't work. Why pay for something that is broken directly out of the box?

Great addition for small spaces, with some issues
Easy assembly, and cords are a bonus. I ordered it primarily for the step feature. I’m a little short for the cords, so I simply criss crossed them, which shortened the length allowing for better tension. Worth the price and much more compact than a standard stepper. I’m 5’3”, 106lbs so it is sturdy for my size.Edit: I reduced it by a star. After just a couple uses the display function with timer and step count stopped working, a new battery did not fix it. The hydrolyic system has started making noises after a few steps. It started out well, and might be good for occasional workouts, but not an everyday, long lasting item.

Easy to use, and gives an accurate step reading.
I ordered this stepper at the end of June, and waited until now to write a review because I wanted see if the product would hold up over time. I bought this stepper because it was the only one I could find that: (1) was reasonably priced; (2) had resistance bands; and (3) had adjustable tension levels to increase the step resistance. Those three features together make this stepper superior to the others in this price range, and even some of the steppers in a higher price range. It came out of the box already assembled, and the instructions are straightforward. The stepper is sturdy but not too heavy to move to other rooms. I use it while watching TV, so it is important to me that it is not too loud. It was very quiet at first, but after a few days it started to be a bit noisy. Fortunately, it comes with some oil, so this was an easy fix. And most importantly, I feel like it's working! I actually get a decent workout - I can feel it in my hamstrings, calves, and glutes. Overall, I would recommend buying this product.
