Not a knockoff
This Apiguard is exactly what I expected it would be. Expiration date was 1 year from arrival. Quality product at an ok price.

Quick shipping
We have used Apiguard Varroa Mite Treatment before for our Apiary. When we realized we had run out of product and needed it quickly, we turned to Amazon. The Apiguard Varroa Mite Treatment arrived quickly from Blythewood Bee Company. It seems to be fresh and was as easy to use as product we have purchased from our local bee supply. Only time will tell if it works to keep our bees mite free

Ad shows different package than what I received.
Same product as that sold by Vita Bee Health but ad shows different package and cheaper price. Product is still Apiguard, but in green box and expires in 2025. Variable amount of treatment product in each tin, which is curious.

Damage
Package inside was ripped open and product damaged but still usable.

Poorly designed packaging, difficult in application
Just started using the product, so too early to tell if it is effective, which is why I keep the 3 stars. Writing the review based on the packaging and user friendliness of the product.Apiguard comes in sealed aluminum dishes, which contain a mixture of liquid and solid/paste. The best analogy would be a cup of clear soup with a dumpling floating in the middle. The packages are cumbersome to open without splashing the liquid. Considering the material is hazardous, using gloves and protective goggles is pretty much a must. You would think that a better packaging approach could have been used, for example placing the contents in a tube and squeezing the material into a cup when needed. The second problem is that, in the summertime, you are supposed to use only half the amount to treat the hive. The instructions say to cut the package in half with scissors and use a half per hive. But as you can imagine, cutting a cup of "soup and dumpling" creates a giant leaking mess of hazardous material, which is pretty much unusable. I had to trash the cut package. What I ended up doing is opening an uncut package and scooping out a half of it. All of this mess could have been avoided if the material was provided in half-doses.

Product fine, packaging was poor
The order was fulfilled through Amazon, not the seller. It was shipped in an envelope so the product was pretty bashed up. The seals aren't broken so it should still be usable but I'd strongly recommend this product be shipped in something that protects it from damage. This product generates thymol fumes when opened.
