WeeRide Co-Pilot XT Deluxe Wide Tire Bike Trailer

Cons:Bike was damaged in delivery and had some deep scratches.Seat is horrible. See pictures. They should just replace it. Looks as if glue melted in shipping or storage. It is also super uncomfortable. Bought a gel cover for my daughter after first few rides.Hearing some friction in moving parts even after oiling.Depending on height of wheel and placement of bracket, it could be difficult for a child to get leg over the frame. My child is 46” tall and I have it attached to a 29er. She has a bit of a struggle stepping over the frame.The hitch apparatus on seatpost is sturdy, but very large. Placement of the hitch on seatpost can cause rubbing on legs because of its width and hard edges. I covered it with a neoprene band which kind of helps.Tight turns will torque the parent seat. (Think jackknifing) Always have a tool with you to fix.Much heavier then my carbon mountain bike. Lol. It’ll pull it down to the ground so I put a kickstand on both bikes.Pros:Love the fat tire for extra balance and trails. Though it is not nubby and can ride slick on some ground.Fits a 29er bike with ease.Was easy to put together.Easily detaches from the bike to put in car or put on another bike (extra attachment was like $15).Very sturdy and super stable.My daughter loves it and will gladly ride an hour with me!!!

So far I have some reservations about this product. First, the little safety tabs on the main pivot cause your seatpost to twist with any turn greater than ~45 degrees. Supposed to be a "safety feature" to prevent tip over but can definitely cause a crash if you do not know how to handle it and have a HUGE place to make a turn. My other BIG concern is how low the attachment arm gets to the rear wheel. Due to the construction, where the childs handlebar goes there is a giant protrusion on the under side of the bar that will catch onto your rear tire if you are having to go up/down any type of curb or bump. It will practically stop you in your tracks which is SUPER dangerous. This generally wont be a problem if you have a large bike with small wheels (18-20" bike, 26" wheels) and can attach the mount really high up on a seatpost but on a smaller bike (15", 29er wheels) you will definitely be having some wheel rubbing on your rear tire. All in all, this might be ok on a perfectly flat closed to traffic bike path where you wont encounter any turns or undulations but buyer beware if you have to use this in any real-world situation. Some pluses are that it is heavy, has a nice flag, looks like it will last a long time and can also fit a variety of kid sizes. I'd give this a 2.5/5 stars in total.

In love with this! Got this for my son's 4th birthday because he wanted to get out of the bike trailer but couldn't go the 20+ miles we usually got on his own bike. He fits on it well on the lowest settings (wears size 4T to xs boys for size reference...two kids ride it different sizes).It was quick to attach it to my bike (very important to have the part that attaches to your bike is straight!!). Fair warning this is steel, so if you have a light road bike like I do...it's doing to weigh you down. Ita heavier than my bike. However, I like to think this is good training!He doesn't have to pedal in the back and it doesn't have breaks so your rider doesn't work against you.The best part... It folds! I can fold it and put it right into my small SUV. However, it's very sturdy so the joint that folds doesn't effect performance.We are so happy with this purchase. Our biking parent group is getting one for their oldest kid too. It was a big hit!!!

First off this thing is heavy, it's much heavier than the bike I'm pulling it with (by more than 8 pounds). Mine came with a huge dent in the fender that made the tire rub, so I removed it. The chain protector is flimsy and makes a huge racket but I added several washers to one of the bolts on the chain protector to keep it from constantly rubbing on the chain. I also changed out the rock hard seat with another softer one I got off of one of my son's old bikes. Then I changed the grips to soft foam grips so my son doesn't complain on long rides. Oh yeah and you can't turn hard without the trailer pulling the bike's seat in the opposite direction. But I still like this thing! I just wasn't willing to spend $300 for the nicer trailer made by Burley.If like me you're willing to make a few concessions for the savings then I recommend this trailer, however if you don't like some of these potential issues I suggest going with the Burley trailer.

We love it SO much. We got this to go on longer bike rides with my daughter, as she can’t ride a bike without training wheels, yet. This was so easy to set up, and my daughter LOVES it. It’s easy to use, and it’s helping her learn about balance.

I really like this bike trailer, except for two issues.1. The folding part of the trailer attachment has hard square edges. These edges end up right where the kids knees go while pedaling. My daughter ended up bumping her knees on the folding hardware a couple of times even on a test ride, hurting herself badly enough that she had to sit it out for a few minutes each time. Wish they had provided some sort of padding/sleeve that covered the folding hardware when in use.2. If you take sharp turns the bike trailer can apply enough torque to your seat post to turn it around. This is because of the small metal notches that restrict the left to right motion of the linkage. After really tightening down my seat post, this does not happen as often. Wonder if it is safe to grind those small metal notches down to allow more left to right motion of the linkage?

Great bike, looks cool and works well.Some complain about the little stoppers that make it so it can't turn too far, its just prevents you from turning really sharp. If its a problem I saw one guy used a grinder to get the stoppers off. I haven't noticed it being a problem, just take wider turns or get the stoppers removed.Great overall product.

Esta super bien. Puedes compartir con tu peque muchas aventuras, hacer distancias largas. Al hacer actividades juntos te unes con el niño.La cojida a la bicicleta es intuitiva y sencilla.Al ser la rueda más ancha el peque va más amortiguado. No hay que ponerle mucha presión, para que el crío no bote.Tiene un banterin para que se vea que llevas al niño atrás.Si vas por cuestas tienes que estar en forma, si el niño es grande(de tamaño,no de edad) y deja de pedalear lo notarás. Los giros los puedes hacer perfectamente.El niño queda perfectamente recto. Antes tenía una barra y siempre está ladeado.En definitiva es una buena compra. Lo estábamos disfrutando mucho antes de la cuarentena. Ahora toca esperar para dar paseos de nuevo.Para niños a partir de 4 años.

This bike is the bomb! I bought it for my 2yr old as he isn’t quite on a balance bike yet and his 3yr old brother is a “pedal bike riding machine” already without training wheels. The bike is too big for the 2yr old; BUT he can sit on the seat and hold the handle bars and balance with me as I ride. He’s a tall kid- but can’t work the pedals yet.His 3yr old brother loves it. It’s pretty big for him too- but he manages well and pedals with me. There is lots of room to grow.I got a discount on the wee bike (with fat tire) as the box was damaged- that was an option at the time I was looking to purchase.All items were there. The bike was extremely easy to set up. Yes- the shipping box was damaged in a few places- but it didn’t affect the product inside at all. BestBuy of the year I think.We live on a farm and I have three boys- a 3yr old, 2yr old and a 5month old. I hooked up the two seater chariot to the wee ride and the wee ride to my fat tire bike.Now we can go all day long.It’s awesome. Steering requires big turns but who cares? In the country we can all ride together. I’ve attached a pic of my set-up.I highly recommend.

Der WeeRide sieht nicht nur super aus sondern läßt sich auch problemlos fahren. Unsere Kleine mit 5 Jahren ist jedenfalls begeistert und so können wir auch längere Strecken fahren. Die seitlichen Anschläge in der Kupplung sollten jedoch kürzer sein. Beim Wenden oder in engeren Kurven wurde mein Sattel jedesmal etwas verdreht. Auch wenn dieser ganz fest angezogen ist, denn die Hebelwirkung ist zu groß. Nachdem ich die Anschläge mit einem Winkelschleifer gekürzt habe läuft nun alles super. Hier könnte der Hersteller durchaus eine praxisgerechte Änderung vornehmen.

A mi hija de 5 años le encanta y por tanto a mí tambien. Se lo pasa genial, vamos haciendo paradas en toboganes y parques, para ir cogiendo fondo y poder salir al monte en un tiempecito. El tandem es pesado la verdad pero a pesar de la rueda ancha y todo no se hace pesado de llevar con la peque montada. Solo en subidas muy pronunciadas notaremos realmente el peso extra (que es bastante, 12 del aparato y 18 de la niña en mi caso), y sobre todo influye la costumbre de dar pedales que cada uno tenga. Llaneando no se nota y la niña es capaz de mover el conjunto, una vez lanzado, a baja velocidad. Se nota su ayuda cuanto mayor es la velocidad ya que la cadencia aumenta. Yendo despacio le cuesta ayudar. Se monta y desmonta fácilmente y a mi al menos me cabe en el maletero (monovolumen).Creo que es una buena compra, y una buena manera de iniciar a los pequeños en este deporte al aire libre y poder salir al campo y la montaña sin que desfallezcan.

Our girl is 4,5y old and 105cm tall. I had to turn the stem to face the saddle to get the handlebar close enough. Also the saddle is as low as it can get. I managed to get the riding position good for my kid and she loves to ride with us!The only negative thing is that the turning radius is quite big. If you turn too sharp the trailer bike will turn the saddle post so you have to stop and fix the position of your saddle.

I highly recommend the WeeRide Co-Pilot XT. The wider tire add a high degree of confidence and suspension like ride for our son. He's excited to ride trails. I've had him out behind my fat bike. We've hit some fairly aggressive trail and our boy hasn't missed a beat. I look forward to trying this out on winter snow rides this season - I will put a 20" aggressive tire on it.Only possible negatives would be the fender is cheap and attaches poorly. We've removed it. This could be dangerous if it twisted. I saw it causing potential damage to the tire or cutting his leg. The XT is heavier than the regular WeeRide - but worth it for the added stability.I wouldn't mind seeing a better bracket for attaching to my bike. This is awkward and challenging. Needs a fair bit of muscle or two people to attach.I'm giving this a 5 due to the pure awesome build. Despite the above short falls. I would and have recommended this to parents in out circle.

Excelente producto, de calidad, te permite ir en bici bastantes kilómetros sin que los pequeños se cansen, así se pueden realizar rutas más largas, ellos pueden dar pedales y ayudar si quieren, y si no, simplemente dejan de pedalear y disfrutan de la ruta. Montado en una MTB de 29" sin problema, una compra 100× 100 recomendable.

Arrived with a ripped and malformed seat, couple of tiny pink paint flecks missing (not on body). Amazon gave a small refund and Weeride is shipping a replacement upgraded seat: 5-star customer service. Trailer takes a bit of effort to assemble, but it’s reasonable and makes shipping easier. I removed one star as I found the hitch is tricky to get the right tightness... so as to not put a lot of torque on my bike seat post as I turn corners. I don’t like that it attaches to my bike seat post and not the frame somehow. I had the option to return it and opted to keep it - my daughter LOVES it.

Excelente. El pedido llegó al día siguiente. La bici es una pasada, con un diseño precioso y de muy buena calidad. La instalamos en 5 minutos y mi hijo ya no sé quiere bajar. La recomiendo totalmente. Ya éramos usuarios de la silla safe front de weeride, y este segundo producto es de nuevo muy recomendable

Questo prodotto è bello da vedere , ma innanzitutto mi è arrivato sbagliato la prima volta a causa di un errore di pubblicazione ovvero esiste un articolo sempre wee Ride simile con descrizione quasi uguale , ma di colore diverso .Il prodotto in se corrisponde alla descrizione , ma si tratta di una bici molto pesante e davvero sovradimensionata per un bimbo .L'attacco alla bici principale è la pecca maggiore perchè non è preciso e quindi quando si viaggia oscilla a destra e sinistra provocando instabilità per il genitore.Inoltre è difficile da montare su bici con il portapacchi posteriore che può causare interferenza con il carrellino.Poi il raggio di sterzo è troppo basso e ho quindi dovuto modificare le battute di fine corsa , altrimenti non riesci a girare da nessuna parte.Il manubrio è troppo grande in relazione al resto del dimensionamento del wee ride, per cui un bimbo non si trova proprio a suo agio .Cio premesso , devo dire che l'idea di questo tipo di carrellino è piacevole ed azzeccata , ma la realizzazione non è conforme alle aspettative .

Perfect quality and safety! Has to be correctly assembled and you won't have any problems.Great moments shared as family on the road and can't beat that price with no security sacrifice.

Sin duda es una de las mejores compras que he hecho, de esta manera mi hija puede salir conmigo siempre que lo desee y ademas ofrece una seguridad y estabilidad muy buena, por decir algo que mejorar seria el guardabarros ya que tiembra demasiado y crea bastante ruido durante la ruta.

Ya habiamos usado el trailgator y este es mas estable, se balancea menos y mas eficaz. Lo unico malo es que no se acopla bien a todas las bicicletas ya que puede rozar la barra con la rueda.Por ahora para nosotros muy bien.

Einfach nur geil.Erstaunlich gute Anleitung, sogar mit allen Drehmomentangaben. Und macht der Kleine einfach Spaß. Jeden Cent wert.
