Had the shell broken into with the original well made cover lock. They just grabbed the it with some chanelocks and snapped the lock. This is flush so I hope it may have them look elsewhere. I didn't need to reattach the return spring, it seems to return to center and close nice. A minor adjustment to one side was all it needed was all it needed to close securely.

Easy to install

The lock itself was easy to replace and fit just like the original. However, the tumbler turns counter clock-wise instead of clockwise as the original lock had done. Also, there was no replacement gasket between the outer face of the black lock flange and the glass, so you have to remove the original gasket and re-use. It would also have been nice if replacement bushings and snap washers were provided to make it a complete lock replacement kit. I had to order replacement bushings and ended up threading the ends of the rods with a 12-24 die, then screwing a locknut to the ends. At the end of the day, this lock ended up working like a champ.

Like always when you buy something online, your not sure if it’s going to fit properly but this product was a perfect fit
