Best portable A/C duel hose unit we have had
This is our third unit we have owned. The first was a single hose Sharp an old unit that was two small for the bedroom.Summer of 2018 we purchased the Whynter ARC-14S 14000 btu duel hose and it had the most reviews and semi good ratings for a duel hose. It was used a total of approximately 8 months total years owned almost 2 years. That one was extremely loud and could just barely cool a 400 sq ft room. Also air flow could not be adjusted and only went to ceiling. Then it stoped cooling when brought out this year.We wanted a duel hose for a 400 sq ft bedroom and a 14000 btu. Upon reviewing a few units even though the reviews on Amazon were not great we researched the Honeywell and bought this one. My wife is very hot natured and really needed a cold, quite portable duel A/C unit.Received this unit and immediately set it up. Of course all the window equipment is made cheap no matter what brand. The Honeywell equipment was no better or worse than the others. It immediately started to cool the room to very cold. I had it set at 66F and it took a short time to reach the temperature. The air out of the unit was 46F. It is also very quiet especially compared to Whynter. Also the best part is that you can adjust the air flow to hit you not the ceiling. It has been around 90 plus with humidity here. We checked the water reserve and no water to empty. It is easy to get to if needed. Our only complaint is the manual is not clear on where to connect the larger hose. The larger diameter hose is suppose to be connected to the air inlet. This Honeywell deserves a higher score. Overall we give it a 5. It has done an exceptional job cooling the room and is very quite for a duel hose A/C. This unit was more money than most which was a negative but it does so far work much better than the others. We are so glad we purchased it since it is the best duel hose we have owned.Cannot comment on the energy efficiency since we have not received a bill for a whole month since using. Will update at a later time.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE (STILL) (still)
•UPDATE• 15JUL20. (4th review)One month later and I’m still kicking myself for spending $700 on this junk. I’ve had a professional check my setup and he said it was fine, he also said Honeywell is a name company’s can buy and put on their cheap stuff. It’s like a brand franchise. We didn’t buy anything from Honeywell, we a bought a crappy AC unit from a company no ones ever heard of with a popular name on it. I feel like atleast 20 people on Amazon got ripped off. I still can’t figure out why 16 people bought it after my review. All of those people deserve their crappy units because they didn’t read!!!!! Either way it only has the capabilities to keep my bedroom 15 degrees cooler than the outside. It now has a giant dead moth in the display which makes my OCD rage. I hate I bought this!!!•UPDATE• 14JUN20. (3rd review)Well this unit just sucks. It makes weird gargling noises. It won’t get a 450sqft room below 68 degrees even when it’s 68 degrees outside. I HATE that I wasted $700. I dislike this company for existing. Thanks for stealing from people Honeywell!!!•UPDATE• 28MAY20. (2nd review)After a few days my 450sq ft room wouldn’t get be low 74f. I contacted customer support and they simply told me to swap the hoses. According to everything I saw, the big hose were supposed to be installed on on the LEFT side of you were looking at the back of the unit. Even the pics here on Amazon show it on the left. APPARENTLY the big hose is supposed to be connected to the lower RIGHT if you’re looking at the back of the unit. I’ll update in a few!! So far it’s not worth the money at all. My $300 12k BTU was way better than this.(1st review) This unit is quite and sharp looking. The window kit is junk. I have a 32” window so I had to cut the larger plastic window extension piece with a dremel so it would fit my window. I must have a weird size window. The window kit slips into the grooves of the window frame. I used thick insulation on the top and bottom of the window kit to make it weather proof along with some silver insulation tape. You’ll also need a window bracket to screw into the window frame to prevent the window from being opened from the outside. This will also help keep pressure on the cheap, flimsy window kit.The unit doesn’t come with any window weather stripping and you’ll need it. If you’re looking at the back of the unit the larger hose goes on the RIGHT. Other than that it seems to be good but it’s only been an hour.Today is 24MAY20 and I’ll update in 4-6 days.Update 23MAY21 and I still hate it. Today it started dumping water out of the bottom where the plug goes into the unit. Worst product decision in my whole life the company has zero responsibility to fix their crap. Worst ever, booooo boooooo, you stick.

Reviews are scary but I can't see anything wrong with it..... yet
Well as I was (still am) worried about the complaints from the other poeple in the comments. So far so good. I have a 10 by 15 foot room and it is cools it down to 64. Normally I just use it down to 70f.The unit itself looks pretty cool. All black and blue lcd screen. looks very stylish under rgb lights. It is not an eye sore and actually looks nice besides my entertainment center. The installation was easy, although the plastic adapter for the window does let some warm air in, but just a very little breeze. For me there is like 2mm gap between the window and the adapter. I'm planning to make a styrefoam seal (very easy fix idk why poeple whine so much about the adapter geez)As for the noise it's not bad. I have it at 100% fan speed and it course it's noticeable but not enough to distract me from work. Even less noticeable when blasting COD from the TV.I will update again if I encounter the same issue as others where the unit gets louder and louder.I will try to care for it like a baby, maybe that's the problem with other people, idk if the move it around all the time ir what. Only time will tell if this gets as loud as those units.I'm was so worried about this unit being crap just like in the reviews that I even started the return process without even opening the box. The only reason I didn't do it is because I'm lazy af. I'm glad I didn't return it.I didn't bought any extended warranty though. That is the only thing that worries me atm.
