3M Scientific Angler Air Cell Fly Line (Size 5, Weighted Forward Green)

Only used a few times so far... seems like a good quality line for the price.My only "complaint" (not really a complaint) is that the line is so slick, it wants to fall back down through the guides towards the reel if I don't keep enough line beyond the tip.

I have a White River fly rod that I received as a Christmas present, 9ft 5 weight. This was my first rod, so no where near an expert. I could not get a cast longer the fifteen to twenty feet. Assumed it was my technique so I practiced a lot in the backyard with no luck. Decided to replace my line with the scientific angler. What difference, able to cast considerably longer after replacing line. Can't wait to get out on the water and fly fish for the first time. Feel more confident now.

At under $30 it is hard to beat this line. If you bought a pre-assembled fly fishing kit you should seriously consider replacing the line. I didn't realize how easy fly fishing can be with the right line and how frustratingly unfun it is with the wrong line. I added this line to Pfleuger medalist kit and sudden I was able to cast farther with less effort. Even if I'm not catching more fish I'm still having more fun not catching them and not working as hard either.

Yes, use this for general floating purposes, great ease of use, slides through guides, handles well in cooler water's... go to line for General

A really decent all around fly line. Will get you through the day. It is a workhorse not a racehorse, but a thoroughbred background.

Works well for a new fly fisherman. Easy to cast and floats OK.

Scientific Anglers makes great line at affordable prices. I fish SA 4 -6 lines on all of my fly rods. Mostly for Browns or Rainbows in SW Wisconsin. Highly recommend for any fly angler on a budget.
