Yes, I did say Ice Cream. Around Halloween and birthdays, or any other event I can use as an excuse, we make liquid nitrogen ice cream. The kids (and fun adults) absolutely love it. 1 Kitchen Aid stand mixer, a cream and milk blend for the base, candy to add in, and about 1 cup of liquid nitrogen. 60 seconds later, you have some of the best ice cream you have ever had. The fog rolling out makes it look like a magic trick. So fun. Filling it is cheap and easy. Most industrial or medical gas suppliers will fill the tank for less than $50 with no hassle. But remember, this is Liquid Nitrogen; it isn't as scary as many think, but it is a swift way to get severe frostbite. Use some common sense, safety goggles and gloves. This dewar was an upgrade from my previous 3-liter version. The first time I used it, we had a significant amount left over. After a month of the tank being set aside and properly closed, I still had a usable amount of LN left, which is impressive in my experience with other dewars. It earned its Five Stars.

We have had our tank for about 6 months and it now has lost its vacuum. It does have a 1 year warranty, so we reached out to the company for warranty service. At first we thought there was no response, but it turned out their responses were being filtered into spam. If you need to contact for service, make sure to check your spam/junk folder for a reply. Customer service has been very good, and they are shipping us a replacement. It is frustrating that the original tank failed, but we do appreciate the service. I will update if we have any problems with the replacement.
