Our Island Story - A History of Britain for Boys and Girls Hardcover

Exactly as described and exactly as I remembered from my childhood, except that it is printed on thick but cheap paper - which I had forgotten. It is a 1953 edition, like the copy I was given on my 12th birthday (but have long-since lost) and the quality of the paper clearly reflects the post-war situation in GB. I am delighted to have this book in my possession once more and will treasure it. I would have liked to have an as-new, perfect copy but I guess this is as close as I am likely to get. I think it is in better condition than my copy was, prior to its loss. I must commend the vendor on the speed and care with which it was despatched. Thank you.

This was for my Grandchildren and I bought it because I enjoyed it as a child - a present from my own grandfather! The 7 year-old is already using it to read more of the stories that she hears in school lessons.
