A Wonderfully Warm and Witty Read for any Hopeless Romantic!
This is the story of Alex and Rosie who are best friends since their young age. we can see their friendship going on over the years despite the fact that Alex had to move to the US with his family. Rosie had a difficult life having a girl at the age of 18; she saw all her dreams going into ashes and was she confronted to the real life of a young mother. During this period, Alex moved to Harvard to become a cardiologist. One fact is they quite never lost contact with each other despite their own life and their own difficulties to deal with life. They were quite always supportive to each other and very helpful in the other's life.During all those years, they will be in touch via instant messages, letters, invitations, e-mails. So don't be surprised by the form of the book. There are many people involved in their life such as their husband and wives; Alex's brother Phil ; Rosie family: Stephanie, Kevin, and her parents; Rosie best friend Ruby. But we are also involve in the story of Katie (Rosie's daughter) and Toby who is her best friend .The big question of the book is: is a friendship between a man and a woman possible without turning in a love affair? Or can it be possible to be best friend with someone who is the opposite gender without messing up our own life ?My favorite character is Rosie : we see her fighting all over the years and she never gave up for the love of her child Katie. She was really down to eath too.The book is really well done. First, I was on the way to put it down when I saw it was only instant messages and emails but the story is so nicely written that It quickly becomes really addictive . I wanted to know what was going next , what will happen to them, what they will answer to the other one . So I kept ready until late in the night ..It's at the same time a funny by the way they talk and by some funny times and sad book: I was so involved in Rosie's life that sometimes I wanted to cry when I saw another bad thing happened to her.SO Cecelia Ahern did a great job. I loved this book so much.

Fun, a bit long but worth it!
Rosie and Alex are best friends. They dreamed of big adventures together, like going to America and starting a new life, much different than their lives in Ireland. But Alex’s family moves away, to America and Rosie is left behind in her small Dublin town. Through emails, Instant Messages and letters, Rosie and Alex grow up and live their lives, hoping one day fate will bring them together again.I’ll admit that I never read or saw the author’s big hit P.S. I Love You. I hear it’s very good.I read this book because I saw this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zL3YJKygd4Love, RosieThe film is coming out end of 2014 and I can’t wait. Naturally, I had to read the book first!Funny enough, my husband was out all day and I was more than happy to sit down with this book and read! There’s a lot of wonderful things about Love, Rosie. (Originally titled Where Rainbows End.) The emails and Instant Messages are clever and funny, getting each character’s personality across clearly. It does read like a script or a play, dialogue driven and a fast moving plot. I love Rosie, who is young and naive but has to grow up very fast. Her story is one of challenge and self discovery. Of course I love Alex, who is misguided and somewhat selfish. I wanted to slap him so many times. The story is about how they keep missing each other. One is engaged, one is married. One is stuck in Dublin while another is in Boston. There are a lot of missed chances and heavy silences. While I did enjoy the book, I think it was a bit long. By the time I got to halfway, I felt like the things keeping them apart were happening to them again. One is married, now they’re married again, like there wasn’t anything new or refreshing keeping them besides their own stubborness to actually pick up the phone and tell the other one how they felt.It can be really frustrating when both main characters are keeping secrets from the other and that’s why it’s causing so many problems! GAH!Also, because the book is told entirely in emails, messages and letters, the format can be a bit tiring. While I devoured the first half, by the second I was dying for some descriptions on their worlds. The supporting characters were fun and added a nice touch to the story, but Rosie’s main friend Ruby was a bit irksome and I was happy when those bits were over.Overall, the book is a fun fast read filled with romance and heart. I really enjoyed it. It was perfect for a Saturday afternoon. And I can’t wait to see the movie!!P.S. – the trailer uses the song “High Hopes” by Kodaline, a band that I saw a year ago when they first came to Los Angeles in this tiny venue. Now they sell out shows. If you haven’t checked them out, DO IT!Rating 7 Would Recommend

Absolutely Amazing!!!
I needed a good book to read to occupy my time while I was on winter break. After reading a few articles of book recommendations, I read this summary and became intrigued. I never watched or read "P.S. I Love You" but a friend told me it was a great movie and a great book too. While reading "Love, Rosie" I couldn't put my kindle down. I really enjoyed that the novel was written in emails and letters. It made it more approachable to read it this way because it felt like I was reading a conversation. I loved the plot because it showed the good and the dark times of the characters' lives. What I really enjoyed about this novel is that it's realistic! Anyone can understand the struggles the characters underwent and even the feeling of really liking someone and being afraid to tell them. I also think the novel gives readers a push to pursue their dreams, and desires. My only setback is that the plot went too fast sometimes. I wished some parts would have slowed down to really understand the experience. Aside from this I recommend this novel to anyone. I really recommend this novel for young adults who are comfortable in their current situation because this novel will show you what happens when you take chances.

Cute enough
Cute enough to read, can be funny, and romantic, however does start to drag as you wait and wait for something to happen that ultimately is underwhelming.
