Cable must be modified to work on BMW.
Cable does not work unless it is modified with a jumper from pin 7 to 8. Tech support keeps linking to sites that are flagged for ransomware as are the downloads. Find a clean version of INPA from a reliable source and do not trust anything these people tell you as they insist on dropping your firewall and disabling anti-virus. Definitely very sketchy!

Need to have a chat with your BMW ?
I bought this to connect a laptop with INPA to my X5. If you know your way around INPA this cable is handy. It is even better if the BMW round 20 pin connector/adapter is used on the OBD2 end.

Quality seems nice and works
Doesnt have switch. Worked on my 08 335xi though.

Software doesn't work
Wasn't able to use sue to software problems.

Don’t buy it. Waste of time. Use the bmw 1.4 scanner instead.
I could not install the software. I tried windows xp (recommended) windows 7 and windows 10 and nothing.I ended up fixing my car with the bmw scanner 1.4 . Easy to install and works like a charm if you happen to have a laptop with windows xp.
