Cleans brilliantly, easy assembly and clean up.
I bought this because we have ceramic floor (looks like wooden planking) throughout our ground floor; and we have 2 small puppies who in the winter have been traipsing their tiny but muddy feet through the house each time they go outside (they aren’t big on using the doormat). Got fed up with mopping and scrubbing, so thought would give this a try as we already had a Bissell carpet cleaner. Short review: works really well. Uses a relatively small quantity of water (about 2.5 litres) to do the entire ground floor (4 rooms, long corridor and 3 area rugs), which necessitates emptying the ‘dirty’ water container about 4 times in total. It scrubs the floor very effectively, and picks up everything, including the smallest of dog hairs. The floor dries very quickly. The cable is long enough to do large room without relocating, but not so long that it becomes a pain. The Bissell Pet cleaning formula removes almost all dried in marks, and smells very fresh - the consumption rate is moderate (about 10 to 1 concentration I think). The only shortcoming (previously mentioned by others) is that it leaves a small strip unscrubbed around the edges; i cure this by using a dish brush to scrub there and then use the machine to clean up the arisings. The water it brings off the floor is satisfyingly filthy, but notably the scrubbing head remains pretty clean throughout due to the design. The dirty container is not huge, but that actually makes it easier to handle. The solid waste catcher works well, and reduces the amount of solids you would pour down the drain very considerably. The airway cleaning stand works well to ensure that the machine is left clean, and other cleanup simply involves rinsing out the scrubber head and the plastic water container and filter; these have to then be dried for 24hrs. Spares are available on various auction sites (and Amazon…). The item is pretty light even when full, and is very manoueverable, the head is just narrow enough to fit between the legs of dining chairs without moving them. The area rug mode works pretty well (not as well as a proper carpet cleaner, i think because the scrubber head is quite soft, but does a reasonable job - you can buy an aftermarket head specifically for rugs, though I haven’t tried it). Storage space is the footprint of the machine (its probably too heavy to hang up). You could use it for spot clean ups (it does that well), though that isn’t really what it is designed for. Reliability good so far - I’ve used it a fair few times. All in all - a good machine that works well at its specific task and is relatively easy to set up and clean up afterwards. Update @18 months use. Still works brilliantly.

Do not hesitate. This is a fantastic product.
Normally I wait for the email from Amazon before I post a review but I went through the review process myself this time! This product is fantastic. We have a Black Labrador and cream ceramic floor tiles. I used to dread cleaning the floor, first hoovering then steam cleaning. This does both in less than half the time. A number of reviews I've seen mention the problem with cleaning the unit. There isn't a problem! It's so quick and easy and as the cleaner comes with a spare roller brush the other can be left to dry for next time. It also comes with a litre of cleaning fluid but I also ordered an extra one and an extra brush - just in case this product is ever discontinued! Comments have also been made about the inability to get right up to the skirting boards. Like one review said if you go up to the wall with the front of the cleaner there is no problem. My steam cleaner left more of a "border" than this product. Like I say don't hesitate this really has changed my cleaning life! (ps the cleaner is a little heavier than you'd expect but that also seems to confirm how robust it is)

Good for daily cleaning but has its limits
I waited a bit before reviewing the Bissell. I find it very good for daily cleaning but it can't handle very dirty floors: debris/hair get stuck in the wheels, along the brush roll and in the rubber thing under the floorhead, resulting in the Bissell spreading dirt around instead of cleaning. So if the floor is really bad I still vacuum first. For this reason I didn't find it very useful on our recent house renovation, but can't fault the machine as that was not your normal household dirt. As I said, it's great for day to day cleaning, but keep your vacuum cleaner, it won't replace that. It won't clean right up to the skirtings/plinth or corners, but it will vacuum. And it won't clean under furniture, not even beds as it doesn't bend enough. It's a bit heavy, not too easy to maneuver, and loud. Cleaning the machine is OK, and once you get the hang of it it will take 5 min. I use it a couple of times a day, sometimes more if the dog comes in with dirty paws, but only clean the machine at the end of the day and it's fine. If dealing with tough stains on my tiles, I pour some hot water from the kettle on the stain, leave it on for a couple of minutes and then use the Bissell. Works well. The brush roll and filter are not expensive, but the cleaner is.. smells lovely though. The concept is good and all in all it's a good machine but it has its limits, and you won't replace vacuum cleaner and mop..

Makes cleaning a whole lot less miserable 😁
Makes cleaning my concrete floor a pleasure! Takes the hard work out of a difficult job. We live on a farm, have 4 cats and two dogs plus a large open plan living kitchen diner - a cleaning nightmare! Washing the floor with a mop an absolute no go - just moves the dirt around and streaks horribly! I agonised over buying a floor cleaner for ages - such mixed reviews - but I bit the bullet and am glad I did. This cleaner actually lifts the dirt and cleans, and my floor actually shines when it’s done. Plus the special ‘pet’ liquid doesn’t leave that temporary shine that immediately goes cloudy and shows every footprint! My floor is clean, naturally shiny as polished concrete should be and seems to stay clean for longer. Oh and it smells lovely! I Don’t know how I managed so long without it. Note of caution - it is not a floor polisher, and it does leave a 2 inch gap around edges which may bother some. However, it does clean properly with minimal streaking and a natural shine. It’s polished enough for me and I can live with the edges that don’t get dirty anyway. Also, while it does vacuum as well, I always properly vacuum first with my trusty Henry, otherwise I’d be dealing with ‘orrible mess (pet hair) when emptying. On that note, it’s easy to clean and store. Definitely my favourite purchase this year (and I hate cleaning lol 😂) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
