I Really Like This Generator
9/25/20- First Review- Set Up and Initial Break In RunsAfter a few days of delay I finally got this unit unboxed and put together. My sweet wife helped with the set up process all the way. Two people definitely made it easier. It weighs about 135 lbs so an extra set of hands were very welcome. The removal of the metal and wood shipping braces went as expected. If you have your own hand tool set I recommend using them as the factory supplied wrenches were a little light weight for the job. You could get the job done with what was supplied but my own DIY tools made it a breeze. The tires are firm [not air filled] and they work well in wheeling the generator around the garage. No complaints. Added the recommended oil and gas. It started right up and ran well. Only 15 minutes during first run. It is quiet for a generator and we can barley hear it inside the house when its running. Per recommendations instead of using the key to turn it off I turned off the gasoline supply and let the motor die by its own accord. Let it set for about 45 minutes, turned on the gas and it again fired right up. Next run was an hour followed again by cutting the fuel supply. No runs, no drips at all during both runs. Its a clean machine for me. Happy with this purchase! Will update as time and run times increase. Honestly, I hope I never have to use it for real. We do live in the mountains and winter is a tough time for people and continual electric service. The deer in the front yard didn't care a wit that the generator was running. I took that as the Deer Seal of Approval for this DuroMax!11/13/20- UPDATE! We had our first big Fall storm overnight. Power went off at 2am and stayed off until 4pm. This generator ran perfectly and provided ample power to run what was needed during the outage. Started right up and ran like a champ. Wife and I appreciated having electricity when no one else apparently did. Fuel usage was miserly as well which was a big bonus too. Ran the well pump and all of the lights and appliances never missing a beat. I'm always a little cautious with any new generator. This one has proven itself today! Recommend to all if you need a great portable generator ... this is one for serious consideration. Happy campers here this evening.

So far so good
I used this all spring. We had a ton of power outages and this generator has already paid for itself in saved groceries. I've only had it for a few months but I've found it easy to start and reliable. The only issue is that sometimes, the engine seems to have a little hiccup in it. Not sure what the deal is with that but it doesn't stop the generator from working, so I just let it keep running. I'm expecting a fairly long lifespan for the price just from what I've seen so far. With just my fridge, kegerator, and a couple of lights and alarm clocks, this will run for just under 12 hours on one tank.Update: A year later(2016) (after storing it correctly with the fuel drained), it started right up when I needed it to and ran flawlessly.Update: year 2(2017), still going strong. After storing it correctly, it cranked in 1 pull.Update: year 3 (2018) I've kept fresh oil in it, used sta-bil in the last bit of gas I run through it, and drained the gas during the times I'm not using it and it cranked right up, first pull today and ran great. The first year, I used this thing for about 2 weeks non-stop. Then, every other year, I use it lightly.Update: 12-27-18. Didn't drain gas, it's been sitting out there since early this year. But, the generator cranked up in one pull and is running great.Update: 3-15-20. Still running strong. One pull, starts right up no problem.8-16-20 still runs and starts well but has developed a fuel leak at the fuel shut off valve. Gas is leaking past the valve into the engine so I can't effectively run the engine out of fuel to properly store the generator. There's also gasoline leaking onto the pull starter.
