Suture Practice Kit, Reusable Silicon Suture Pad for Suture Training, Durable Suture Pad to be Used by Students, Suture Kit for Training and Practice

So I bought these 3 pads to practice suturing, and I can say there are much better quality practice pads out there. These 3 pads that I bought tear way too easily. The pad can be ripped pretty easily when tying knots in a vertical mattress stitch. The pad has ripped every single time I have attempted a subcuticular stitch. Hell, the pad has even torn in a few places from grabbing it with Debakey forceps (which are atraumatic forceps without teeth). The type of suture and the size of the needle and suture have not made a difference (it rips regardless of whether I am using #1 PDS, 2-0 Vicryl, 4-0 Monocryl, and even 6-0 Prolene). I found a different brand of pad to practice on, and have had none of the problems listed above. These pads may be adequate for practicing basic stitches, but if you plan on attempting more than just the very basics, you will probably want to invest in a higher quality practice pad.

Absolutely awful! I attempted to practice suturing. On my first attempt with 5-0, it tore through the silicone. I attempted with 2-0 to try thicker, still tore. The gaps in the practice are too far apart and the silicone is not strong enough to withstand appropriate approximation with practice.

I bought this product because it looked promising. I am a third year med student an aspiring surgeon. I have used other suturing pads and this by far is the worst one I have used. I thought originally that because there are so many cuts on the pad that it would be beneficial because you theoretically could do more suturing, but because of the quality of the pad the suturing one site ends up destroying the other potential suture sites. Definitely do not recommend. It is not durable like it says. There needs to be more "tissue"/suturing pad per cut in order to get good suturing done.

Really hard to insert needle and will pull ligature out, either tearing the edge of the silicone or fraying. Not life like at all, does not simulate human flesh at all

Product arrived early! Really hard to practice stitching/ sutures on because of the distance of the fake wounds!

I am an NP student who purchased this as my second practice pad to try in different shapes incisions. On very first attempt, tried both 3-0 and 4-0 nylons practice sutures, and pad ripped before I could even finish tying the first surgical knot. Not at all durable for practice or realistic to skin texture and strength. Would not recommend this, as it does not at all compare to the one I received from Alcedo.

Purchased as a gift for my daughter who is currently in Surgerical Technology school. She has used it multiple times now to practice and is pleased with it.

Bought this silicone suture practice pad and at the first instance of using this, it rips!! Definitely not re-useable, Its very flimsy and easily tears...not worth it if you have to buy another again.
