Candyman (1992) [DVD]

My favorite movie of all time.

I enjoyed it

Candy man is a excellent movie to watch always have you on the edge of your seats.

The movie was good overall. Tony Todd was impressive in his performance as the menacing phantom known as the Candyman. There were a few plot points that didn't fit together very well, and a few things that get thrown at you without enough development or explanation.Spoilers from here....for example, there was a scene towards the end where the Candyman tells the main character, "It has always been you." Then she sees a mural that has the woman the candyman fell in love with, and she has a passing resemblance to the main character.The problem with the scene is that it doesn't make any sense with the rest of the film. Is the movie saying that the young white woman reincarnated? Is it saying that the Candyman saw this woman and wanted her because she looked somewhat like the woman he had loved in life? We will never know because the movie never comes back to that point at all.The Candyman is truly evil, but the way he is defeated doesn't make sense. The entire film makes it clear that Candyman is a ghost or paranormal entity, yet he can be set on fire like a physical being. I didn't understand that at all.Then the very end has our main character, now a ghost that you can call upon just as you would the candyman, but for some reason she is evil now and kills people.Other than those factors right at the end, I actually thought that the movie did a good job, it was frightening, didn't rely on jump scares, had a spooky backstory that even sounded like something that could have happened (although it seemed odd to have a story like that take place in Chicago. A story about an interacial coupling ending in murder would have made more sense in Mobile than Chicago, but okay). The movie does a decent job of getting you unsettled. I would say that this is a movie every horror buff should see.

candyman is one of the most underrated slasher films in my opinion.the story remains relevant, the characters are interesting, the acting is great, the aesthetic brings everything together beautifully.a great addition to my dvd collection <3!

The DVD worked well and the movie was a good as ever!

La pelicula llegó en perfectas condiciones. Respecto al filme, esta todo bien, a excepción por el hecho de que hay momentos en que los subtítulos no aparecen. En general, es una cinta entretenida

Se Hellraiser é super violento e gore, e Nightbreed tem pouco gore para o tema do filme (mas ambos escritos e realizados pelo autor Clive Barker), Candyman mostra mais os resultados do que a acção, mas é sempre um início duma mitologia que, ainda assim, não foi destronado pelo remake/sequela direta

Edizione esteticamente bellissima. Purtroppo non ha audio italiano, ma a differenza di quanto avviene solitamente con le edizioni tedesche, il film ha almeno i sub in inglese. Film enorme per gli amanti Dell horror
