The Fall, The Rise

I LOVE this book of poetry. It's right up there with Nikita Gill. Just solid work by an amazing female artist!! I adore her work!!

Maia, you took us on a journey from sadness to contentment. It was an honest depiction of the self-love and self-worth journeys. Such an authentic, relatable book. Thanks for allowing us to have a peek at your inner world!

What I loved most about this book is it reminds you that things do get better, especially after heartbreak. You can and will rebuild yourself again. It also acknowledges that while we love the sun and its light, you can’t have that without the rain that comes along with it. Loved it!

It’s crap, so disappointed in myself for buying this book. I’m not sure what enlightenment I was expecting from this, but ugh. Poor purchase decision and cannot be refunded. May still send it back in protest and I don’t need this crap cluttering my book shelf.

Maia has crafted such a beautiful collection of poems, both heart-wrenching and uplifting. I was able to relate to so many of her pieces about dealing with heartache - she really puts your emotions into words. The second half of the book, The Rise, completely uplifts you - I felt like I was joining Maia on her journey of healing. There are so many pieces in this book that gave me chills that I will keep coming back to. This book is like a best friend who helps get you through a breakup ❤️
