The best case type and brand I've found!
This case was SUCH a good find. I love that there's actually an inside case that attraches to the outside case keeping it even more protected. The rotation is great, nice and sturdy. The angle it puts it at is also perfect for drawing, watching videos, or just surfing the web. The hand strap makes holding so easy, and you can feel safe to walk around looking at your tab not having to worry about dropping. The pocket is nice to keep a screen wipe in. I LOVE the magnetic strap that keeps it closed. And the fact that this case gives you access to your S pen without letting it stick out so much that if putting it down on a table it'd be laying on the pen. The case sticks out enough that it doesn't touch the pen when laid flat. I recently got an ipad and bought a different brand case that had some similar features to this and IMMEDIATELY returned it because I realized how easy this case is to hold compared to others, its not heavy and bulky as others, there's no weak plastic parts that feel like they might break, and the hand strap and closing strap just are features you'll miss once you have them... so I went back and got this case for the ipad too!!

Looks Elegant
This was the second case I purchased for my tablet. The first one broke right away. This is very sturdy but lightweight. It works Great! The color and texture are so nice it looks elegant. Would definitely recommend

Improved materials and construction - updated 8-22-2020
I had a couple of these before. After a while the corner tabs would crack and break. I liked them otherwise (which is why I bought a replacement after the first one gave out.) Updates to review at end. Jan 2020: Now I have a new tablet, a Tab S6. It is a different form factor than the Tab S3, so another case needed. I was concerned about the problems I had before, so researched like crazy before placing an order to give it a try. I noticed others reporting the problem I had, were older reviews. Newer ones said no problem. The design is slightly changed, spreading stress over larger area, and the plastic is reinforced with another coating of material. My guess is that this one will hold up fine. I will update this review if I am proven wrong in the future. Because of the dimensions of the Tab s6, longer vericaly, there is only one angle for viewing when vertical. When horizontal, there is also only one stop, however the material is not slippery, a little grabby, allowing other angles of view if you are on a stable flat surface. It is a good looking case, sturdy and light weight. The hand strap is helpful if holding in hand to read, The internal half pocket will hold business cards. The magnetic catch works well. The elastic pen loop is hidden behind the magnetic catch strap, but is always there holding the stylus in the place so it can charge. The catch strap gives an extra degree of protection for the stylus so you should not be losing or breaking. It looks like a keeper! 8-22-2020 I kept it and use it all the time. Unfortunately it is showing the wear now. No plastic cracks, but the actual covering material is coming loose and peeling at corners. It is still usable, but won't be for long. 11-22-20: I really wish it would last longer than seven months. I still like the features (nothing else currently has them all). I also wish the position holding ridges were more pronounced, or that the edge of case was a "sticky" silicone material to keep it in place more easily. I have tried a case from a different manufacturer, but it lacked some features, and did not hold up any better than this one did.

Great product overall
It was better than pictured. It has a hand strap inside the makes it easy to hold. I was a little worried about the pen being unsecured, but it has a loop for the pen under the closure flap and when closed the flap locks it in place. Overall it looks great and is very study, well worth the price.

Cute, secure, comfortable to hold
I feel like my Nook is very secure in this case - the owl one for a Nook 8". It has flexible plastic for the part that goes around the Nook. It slides into the holder and then you fold a flap in to hold it in place. It does not have plastic clips at the corners, the sides curve over the top edges - see my photo. I wish they wouldn't include different models with different features on the same item page, it gets confusing figuring out which reviews apply to which models, for example when some have plastic corner clips and some have a slip-in enclosure style. On mine, the loop for a stylus is "outside" the case, stitched into the seam with the Thankscase label. I like the feel of the canvas, it's not going to slip out of my hand like some plastics. I haven't been using the hand strap, but I tried it and it does make a one-handed hold more secure for walking around. Karen

Pros: Apart from Samsung's own very expensive book-cover for the Galaxy Tab S6, this economically priced Thankscase is the only case I have found in January 2020 which offers a number of desirable attributes as follows. 1. An elasticated hand-band on the left-hand side enables one to read the tablet while sitting or lying at odd angles. You slip your hand through the hand-band to hold the tablet in front of you, while at the same time you can revolve the Thankscase so that while the cover is at an angle the screen will be vertical. This is very helpful for reading in bed. 2. The revolving of the hard case which clasps the tablet is an asset. You can either revolve the case 90 degrees, to read the screen in either portrait or horizontal mode, or you can revolve the case just a little to allow you to read it while sitting or lying at odd angles. 3. The magnetic flap which keeps the Thankscase closed (and which does not interfere with the S-pen) also ensures that the S-pen cannot be knocked off the back of the tablet while in transit. Most cases for the S6 rely on the S-pen simply clinging to the rear of the tablet by magnetic force alone. With the Thankscase there is both the magnetic flap to keep it in place and a blank elasticated loop which you push the pen through. Losing the S-pen is therefore highly unlikely. 4. The finish of Thankscase is elegant and the stitching is superb. The interior surface is of a smooth silky texture which is washable, unlike some other cases where the interior is of a rough fabric which can collect bits of debris or dust. The exterior of the Thankscase, while decorated with fashionable motifs, does have a slightly plasticky appearance, rather than a faux leather feel and look, but a smear of black silk paint (rubbed on, rubbed in, and then quickly rubbed off) could help to age it and make it look antique. However, I didn't get that far with the Thankscase I received because the presence of an unnecessary magnet in the rear of the case makes the Thankscase completely unusable for me, as I must be able to use the S-pen with confidence on every part of the screen. Cons: 1. A small round magnet unnecessarily embedded in the cardboard of the rear of the Thankscase interferes with the operation of the S-pen, so that the S-pen will not function at all in the adjacent area of screen. This is a serious problem if you use the amazing S-pen for writing or for drawing, using "Samsung Notes", "Pen-Up", or ANY other writing or drawing app, including even email apps or web apps which may require you to write over that particular part of the screen. See the five photos which reveal this significant flaw in the Thankscase. 2. The white plastic circle which holds the plastic case to the cardboard book-cover of the Thankscase does not sit level with the rear surface of the Thankscase. It projects outwards from it a little, so that when you place the Thankscase flat on a desk or a table the case wobbles a bit because of the "round lump" in the centre of the rear of the case. This is a problem if you use the S-pen for fine or detailed writing or drawing. 3. The flap which holds the Thankscase closed (by way of several small magnets which thankfully do NOT interfere with the S-pen) gets in your way if you are writing on the screen with the S-pen, whether in horizontal or portrait mode. This is a pity because the flap secures the S-pen in position while you are travelling. However, there is also a small black elasticated ribbon into which you can slip the S-pen for security while travelling, so the annoying flap (which acts as a second security measure) could be very carefully cut off. However, doing so could cause the Thankscase cover to open while travelling. Unfortunately I had to return my Thankscase to Amazon because of its effect upon the use of the S-pen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 combined with the S-pen is extraordinary for writing and drawing.

This is the only tablet cover to have an elasticated bit to hold the tablets pen securely so I'm very happy with it.

Only case which holds pen correctly and holds the unit securely. Pricey but worth every penny.

I've owned this case for a few years and it is just starting to show signs of wear. It's super comfortable and I love the textured design and the various viewing formats. It doesn't have a vertical viewing angle but does most everything I want it to. I love the pen sheath and the magnetic clasp that adds an extra layer of security for the exposed pen.
