Out of the ordinary
A nice, simple, clean design. Works well and won't roll away.

Very hard, not dark enough for use as a writing pencil
I was so excited for this pencil and I want to throw it directly into the trash. It is very hard graphite, hardly marks the paper at all, and is really only suitable for shading or light sketching.

Didn't leave a sharp line
Doesn't really work as well as I needed it to as a pencil. It didn't sharpen to a fine point. It left little crumbs when writing and didn't leave a bold mark.

The description is not correct. This is a pencil ...
The description is not correct. This is a pencil made of 80% recycled graphite and can be sharpened. The colored bit on the end is an eraser and it does erase. It is a light mark but that is exactly what I want to sketch with before doing watercolor.

New type of Pencil
I bought one of this pencil in Dublin and like it. This one came without the packaging--disappointing in a new product. Also more expensive on Amazon than it was in Dublin.

Expensive but inovative
It's a little rough on paper but it does write. It's graphite impregnated rubber - so it sharpens and works like a normal 'full graphite' pencil but because it's rubber based it has more friction on the paper. It does, however, not require sharpening as frequently. This can be a blessing or a curse - as it dulls it has more paper friction. One thing I can assure you, is you'll never break the end off like normal graphite pencils. I personally recommend you get a different color eraser other than black - as it makes finding which end to write with (glancing out of the corner of your eye) harder to determine. All in all, I think this is a good improvement over the pencil for an every day carry situation but I don't feel it has enough benefits to replace ordinary pencils altogether. It's also very expensive for what you get. I paid $12.95 when I purchased.Note - I was not given this item to review - it was purchased with my hard earned money. I never tell anyone how to spend their money, but I wouldn't recommend this product unless you have disposable income to dispose of or the need of a very sturdy pencil. While I haven't tested, this item may also work underwater.
