Beginners luck? I think not😉
This was my first time ordering anything from Amazon! I’ve been a Prime member for a few years. My Daughter usually orders for me. I’ve been looking for, black loose leaf tea for a while now, none in the,”run of the mill”, grocery stores I go to.I’m happy with my experience with Amazon. Easy to use even for a non tech savvy person like myself! The tea is WONDERFUL! I’m enjoying it very much. I like it for Iced tea. I like it strong, I steeped it for 5 minutes using a coffee press. The outcome was better than I expected, as I left it over night in the press. The next day when I went to make a glass. The colour had changed! It was the colour of Chai tea! It was not chai tea. I ordered Royal Scottish blend from Brodies. I was taken a-back when I first saw it, but what could be so bad?It was so delish! The cloudiness did not matter at all. I can’t explain the colour. I asked my whole family if anyone had added anything to it, everyone said,”no”. It was strong, just as I like it! Perfect for our weather in St Pete, Fl.Hot as Haiti's!!! I’ll continue to order the Scottish blend and I’ll be trying different kinds they carry, as well as a few spoons and some cute tea balls I can use for nighttime cuppa’s!Colour brown damned! It was so very good and did the trick to keep me cool. Lovely canister too boot! Good and strong!I’m even branching out now. I’ve ordered natural Henna light brown hair colour! It’ll be a first, so I’ll let you know how that comes out.I’m a cancer patient, who has been lucky enough to not have lost my hair. So I want it looking it’s best!Thank you for making things user friendly!I’m hooked now, so look out!

My New Favorite Breakfast Tea
I bought this tea after trying it in Edinburgh and it’s become my go-to breakfast tea. I’m a coffee drinker and this tea is one of the first teas that has enough flavor for me without being bitter. It’s very smooth. Will be buying again!

Delicious!
Scottish breakfast tea is my favorite black tea blend, and Brodie's version is perfect. In fact, this is the only Amazon item that I have as a subscribe and save order. So far I have not experienced any issues with the quality of the tea, or condition of the tins that I have received. Everything is fresh, delicious, and as it should be! I would recommend this as a coffee replacement at breakfast, and perhaps a second, mid-morning cup as an added pick-me-up!I would also note, that although the tea "leaves" are small and almost seed-like, they DO sink to the bottom of the teapot as tea leaves should, making a tea strainer unnecessary (just dump the tea leaves straight into the pot loose, and add boiling water over top)! A perfect cuppa!

My favorite tea
I drink a lot of hot tea. Brodies is my favorite brand. The tin it comes in is so cute. It has a great smooth flavor and aroma.

Decent flavor & value, but really tiny "leaves"
The flavor is pretty good, it's definitely not the best cup of tea I've ever had, far from it, but it hits the spot considering I've had bad luck with amazon teas recently. It tastes pleasingly strong and holds up well to a bit of milk. I havent tried it with sugar so I cant tell you if that would wash away the flavor or not, but I suspect it would still have a distinct black tea taste and not just that of watered down sugary milk, which is a problem with a lot of teas sold on Amazon. It definitely taste stale, this tea has definitely been through its share of middlemen. The main problem I have with it is this is sold as "loose leaf tea" but these arent leaves at all, these are pebbles. I included a photo in this review taken right from the top of the bag. Rice Krispies are about 3 times the size of one of these tea pebbles. They do not unfold after being in water like a rolled Oolong either, I'm not entirely sure what these things are. It said "Fine Teas" on the package and I guess what it meant was "teas so fine you will need to strain them through cheesecloth to prevent them from escaping into your cup by the dozen." I will say that they do at least hold their shape, whatever they are, so they arent like the macerated tea dust you get from the factory floor that's in lots of bagged teas. You will definitely need some kind of measuring scoop for these, you simply can not take a pinch from the bag without losing half of what you took. For $11.89 (or ~1.35/oz) it is a good value for what you're getting and it is good enough to be there for breakfast if you decide to skip coffee. Don't expect anything fancy, this is a simple workhorse black tea for those on a budget who prefer loose tea over bagged.
