Tested and it’s a good product!
I used my thermal imaging device to see how well it could take heat/distribute it/dissipate it. Applying direct flame to it I noticed the following: 1. Didn’t catch on fire! Big deal! I held it over flames for several minutes. Just some black singe marks. 2. Camera revealed it spread the heat out while keeping the opposite side way cooler. 3. Dissipation of heat was decent while it remained warm for awhile the hottest points cooled down faster and same is true for the opposite side. All in all works well. I line some of my cases for electrical projects with it just in case. It’s a good safety net but shouldn’t be your only safety.

works well
Good thick pad and performed well under engine exhaust heat conditions, however be careful not to let engine exhaust blow directly on the fiber as it will tear it apart I wound up putting expanded metal on top of the pad and that helped a little but I would not let engine exhaust blow directly on the fiber because it will still come apart

Simond Store Ceramic Fiber Insulation Blanket
The Simond Store Ceramic Fiber Insulation Blanket arrived well packaged and exactly as described. The material feels dense and high quality, and it holds together well without falling apart during handling. It’s flexible enough to work with while still feeling durable. The blanket appears to be designed for high-temperature insulation applications, and based on its construction and thickness, it seems well suited for that purpose. The size and thickness matched the product listing, which I appreciated since accuracy is important with specialty materials like this. One thing to note is that this is a professional-grade insulation product, so proper care and safety precautions are important when handling it. This is not a casual household item, but for its intended use, the quality is solid. Overall, this is a well-made ceramic fiber insulation blanket that meets expectations. I would recommend it to users who specifically need this type of material and understand how to handle it safely.

Insulates and dissipates heat. Excellent value.
The fiber withstands the heat as advertised. If this is your first time shopping for this insulation, it’ll be fine for direct heat exposure and insulation. My use case is metal smelting using two layers. It’s a consumable material so it will eventually wear, but I have had a good experience with this brand meeting my needs.

Low price,fast shipping!
This was a perfect fit and works great, my stove seems to work much better by giving off more heat.
