Great Quality
Excellent quality stuff as always with Wheeler gunsmithing products. I have come to find that even if it cost more than others go with the Wheeler for the strength and durability. I will never buy Real Avid stuff again cause it doesn't stand up to even nominal use. Wheeler sets the standard.

Pays for itself!!!
This set is an absolute must have for any firearms owner. Not only is it a quality tool set, but the price makes it a no brainer!! Wheeler makes gunsmithing tools and only gunsmithing tools, have been in buisness for decades and knows the proper tools that are needed for firearms. If your going spend thousands of dollars on your firearms do not go to a hardware store and buy tools that are not meant for firearms. These bits are hollow ground so that they actually fit screws properly. Yes, you could save a few bucks on a set similar to these at the hardware store, however once you cam out of the first screw on your firearm and scratch the surface, you haven't saved yourself any money at all. That's why I say this set will pay for itself, in your wallet and for peace of mind. The set has just about any bit you would ever run across, and some bits that depending on your collection you may never use. I highly recommend getting the 21 piece add-on kit for this as well. I really think that should have been included with this set, especially since there is a spot for it in the hard case to begin with. I also recommend the Wheeler FAT Wrench as well, all the bits from this kit can be used with the FAT Wrench. This is definitely one of the best kits out there, especially for the price. Brownells makes the Magna-Tip kit, but with a price tag of $499, I really doubt it's that much better to justify the cost. Just buy this kit and you'll never regret it!!!

Great Gunsmithing Set, This is the NEW VERSION
I originally ordered the other one on here, and previously had ordered the digital FAT Wrench from wheeler as well, and the FAT wrench was the newer version and the other screwdriver set was the older version, I wanted them to match (and have the newer set) so I returned the other set and got this one, verifying the SKU# on wheelers’ site, so if you get this listing this is the newer set, not what the listing picture shows, that picture on this listing is the discontinued set BEFORE the other older one I got before. I included a picture so others can see exactly which set you are getting (the newer version, with the updated handles and black phosphate coating to prevent rusting), I assume they just haven’t updated the picture yet.

The right tool for the job
Good to finally have a set of gunsmith tools!I have used regular tools and screwdrivers for years working on rifles and guns and those screws are often different from regular screws and it's easy to booger up the slot. This set is affordable and seems to be pretty well made.Seems to fit properly on the guns I've worked on so far

It's not just for gunsmithing - but it's very good for that too
This is a better than average quality and assortment of various tools used in the gunsmithing trade. I'm not a gunsmith, but as an amateur tinkerer, a local professional gunsmith suggested that I should get these because they would prove useful in my various hobbies. He was right, and I've made extensive use of the tools in the set, despite never having used them on a gun. They're good and useful tools and I recommend any tinkerer worth his salt should have these.

Disappointing Surprise, but 5 years later a great surprise.
I was looking forward to receiving this screwdriver set. Tired of cheap, poorly made junk from China, I was excited to find this seemly well made quality set at a reasonable price. Instead of the fine quality precision hardened alloy tools as advertised that I was expecting, what I got was cheap, poorly made junk from China. I could have bought this quality at another national chain for $50 less if cheap junk was what I wanted. Amazon should be embarrassed that this sham of a tool kit is on their website. Oh, and by the way, I will be returning it.11/21/2015 I never did return this laughable facsimile of a tool kit, I have kept it around to remind me to do better research when buying needed tools. That said, I was just reading over the reviews for the last 12 months and am surprised that out of over 150 reviews, there are only about 7 that are less than 4 stars. What's up with that? It's not like all these people don't know what they are talking about and many praise the fine machine work and hardness of the bits. Has the quality improved? Are they coming out of different factories? The poor reviews just mirror what I found but with so few did they just receive some of the old stock? If I had the spare $ just hanging around I would buy another one just to compare it with the junk that has been laughing at me for the last 4 years.1/18/17 After looking over the reviews on this set again, I am still shocked at the overwhelming high reviews.which leads me to think that maybe I wound up with one that was meant as a sales display or meant to be sent somewhere where they want pewter like metal bits. I emailed the company that distributes them and asked them if my theory might be true. In the answer I was told that they are designed to bend instead of break to save damaging the screws or firearms. I replied that because they were so soft they have damaged both screws and firearms and if they were hardened like stated in the description, they would not bend or break. Waiting to see what they reply.2/7/17 What a reply it was. The company offered to send me a new set. I replied that was not necessary and after 5 years I was not looking for anything from them save an answer to my question. They sent me one anyway. Now I have the opportunity to see the answer to my question for myself. I must know if I got a set from a bad run or not. So this time I took it along with my old one to my gunsmith buddy and we really looked them over. We grabbed 5 bits at random from each set and he did a hardness test on them. My old ones averaged a 38 on the Rockwell scale. The new ones averaged 58. The old ones were so poorly finished many had casting marks on them. The new ones, although still a bit rough all looked like they had been cleaned up. The two holders with the magnets? The new ones did indeed hold the bits in place. Not as well as I thought they should, but a definite improvement over all. At least the holders look like they are actually made for the bits. I did kind of take care of the problem by digging out the magnets and replacing them with some super strong rare earth magnets and now they hold the bits with a more respectful grip. I give the set 4 stars, mostly because of the holders, but I would give Battenfeld Technologies, Inc.,(the distributor) 6 stars for going above and beyond 5 years after the fact. I just hope that I am not looked upon as one of those folks who spew out 5 star reviews when they are sent free stuff for an "unbiased" review. I would not have changed from one star to 4 without the product really deserving of it.

Great gunsmith8ng set.
This is an amazing set if you work on guns, it has many tips needed for most gun disassembly. And some hard to find specialty tips as well. The hollow ground slotted tips fit so much better in gun screws than typical slotted screwdrivers. If you work on guns this is a must tool set to have period.
