Great bed for a reasonable price
Pros:Easy to assemble with provided tools.Instructions are clear and concise.Looks nice.No squeaking, even when supporting vigorous... activity.Bed height is great with just a pillowtop mattress on it.Cons:I did buy some adhesive furniture pads to go on the bottom of the feet to protect the hardwood floor, the plastic bottoms on the feet were scratching the floor. On hardwood with fuzzy pads on the feet it does slide around a little bit if you get up or sit down too fast. So far has not been a problem but I check on the smaller support legs every so often to make sure they haven't gotten bent from moving around. I may get a rug to put under it.Other thoughts:I re-tightened one of the smaller legs (they just screw in) after about a week. I would suggest checking the tightness of the screws and whatnot after about a week to make sure nothing has loosened up.Update 10-July-2015Moved to a new place. The bed can be broken down into 4 parts that make it relatively easy to move (headboard, footboard, split platform into 2 sections). It was pretty easy to take apart and put back together. At the new place the bed was sliding around a LOT. It would slip out a foot from the wall, we would slide it back, it would slip around some more. The sliding while a little annoying wouldn't be a big deal except the smaller support legs underneath were starting to get bent. Also with things moving about it started to get a little squeaky. Solved the problem by cutting little pieces of 'non-slip shelf liner' and placing them under the legs. Now the bed does not slide around at all, and is quieter.

Great value for money
This is a very sturdy bed which is relatively simple to assemble, and looks great in the room. It is hard to fault at the price, and while it is apparent when putting it together that construction quality is not entirely of the highest standard, once assembled it looks like a bed worth far more than it costs. One significant complaint is that on arrival, I found the box to have come apart in transit. An attempt had been made to tape it back together, but it had clearly come apart again. None of the contents were lost because the parts were well packaged inside the box, but something had scuffed the top corner of both the head and footboards. The box is inadequate for the size and weight of the package.Assembly took no more than an hour and the instructions are simple and easy to understand. It would have been easier to have a second person to assist in assembly since there are a couple of steps which require a part to be held level at one end while being fastened at the other, but this is not a problem that is difficult to work around. In one or two places it was fiddly to line up bolt holes and components, but this is not precision engineering so is to be expected to some degree. The finish on this bed is a dark bronze with a rough texture. It looks easy to scratch but it is more durable than it appears.

Eeeeekkkk this bed. When I got the package everything was falling and poking out of the box.THEN- when I opened the package I was missing all my hardware AND manual. We were able to use similar hardware that we picked up at Ace. Assemble took over 3 hrs.Once the bed was put together it looks nice, there were some scratches due to the horrible packing job. It's pretty sturdy and comfy. But really disappointed in the shipping and lack of parts.

Great price, modern look, sturdy, and easy to put together
This bed rocks! But not literally. Let's face it, we all want a bed that's stylish for what we like and sturdy enough to do the bone dance without too much noise. In addition to durability, we need something easy to put together, move, and to use with or without a box spring. This bed has plenty of positives:1. I'm a 230 lb. guy who typically has girls in my bed between 110-200 lbs, depending on mood. Although I've only had a 130 lb. lady in this one, it surely can hold another 75 lbs of weight without buckling from the thunder hump.2. The bed is easy to put together upon arrival and lightweight. I didn't have a problem carrying to my 3rd floor apartment and it fit snug inside the trunk of an early 2000's model Chevy Impala with the back seats folded down.3. The bed can be used with or without a box spring. I currently use the box spring, but it makes the mattress a little high for my liking and for the design of the footboard area. It doesn't look bad, but I'd recommend just planning on using a mattress.4. It's quiet, minus the occasional sound from the metal poles that go across the bottom when I get out of bed. Depending on how hungover or sore I am, I usually hope right up opposed to rolling onto the very edge just to force myself to stand.5. I like the bed so far. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because it's not a 5-star bed and I wasn't looking for a 5-star bed on my budget. For this price, you're going to like it and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again.

Very, very happy
Item arrived much sooner than I had anticipated, which was a nice surprise. Bed well-packaged. The actual box was filthy, although I suspect that was more of a FedEx issue than a seller issue. My hands were black after moving the box into the bedroom. With that said, the bed is amazing. It feels very sturdy and looks sleek, yet elegant. Once I got into a groove, it was easy to put together by myself. I experienced none of the negative issues other buyers seemed to experience. I'm amazed at how well it looks and how sturdy it feels. No squeaking at all. No complaints here.Quick update: I've been sleeping on this bed for about two months now. It has held up really well. I'm a big guy (about 220 pounds), so I suspect that if I were going to have any problems with this bed, I would have experienced them by now. I do now hear an occasional faint squeak when I first get into the bed or when I toss and turn, but it's not loud enough to keep me awake or awaken me when I'm sleeping.
