Worked for what I needed.
I purchased this for use in a remodeling project for my master bathroom. I figured since I was tearing the floor down to the subfloor why not add a radiant barrier since it will be very easy to do with everything exposed. I'm not sure how much it will help. Since it's inexpensive enough and super easy to put in right now I figured even if it helps a little it was worth it. I plan to install in-floor heat in the future I'll already have the radiant barrier ready to go. I had no problems with the material tearing. It has a ripstop mesh weaved into it. Plus, I still have about 190 square feet left for other projects!

Helps reduce the heat in the attic in the summer
used this as a radiant barrier in my attic. It's hard to know how much it helps exactly, but there is a noticeable difference in the temp under the barrier vs off to the side of it. I think it's about 10 deg cooler.

Sturdy and easy to apply
I used it as a heat shield for a sauna. Installed very easily and is strong vs regular aluminum foil.

This non-perforated radiant barrier was the perfect fit and quantity to cover my enclosed patio
This non-perforated radiant barrier was the perfect fit and quantity to cover my enclosed patio. Two sided reflective surfaces prevents radiant heat (about 85% of all heat transfer) from entering in the summer and escaping in the winter. This is a very tough material took all the abuse I gave it while I installed it without help. There were many chances for the material to tear yet it was strong enough to withstand some intense pulls, jerks and stabs that would have torn the last radiant barrier I used in the attic of my house. (Of note, the patio did not require perforations but placement in an attic DOES require the perforated product.) Used the radiant barrier in conjunction with large bubble packing wrap which provides thermal insulation by means of dead air just like double pane windows. The combo of the radiant barrier and the large bubble wrap kept the patio warmer than past winters while reducing the time that the heater had to run.

Not aluminum. Fake plastic material
This stuff measured over 2 million ohms resistance per linear inch with a multi-meter. The real aluminum stuff measures 0.2 ohms per linear inch. Buy the real aluminum stuff!

Ease of cut and install.
I bought this item to apply to my 16 panel garage door that faces west. I used a drywall square and utility knife to cut the 16 rectangle pieces and used double sided tape to secure the material to the door. I have enough material left and will install another 16 pieces on top of the original. My garage heats up much faster now with my Big Buddy propane heater.

Great investment. Perfect DIY project.
Kinda shocked at how well this product works. I demoed a bathroom in a dormer extension of my 100 yr old house. The dormer extension was always hotter than the rest of the house and as soon as I removed the drywall ceiling I understood why. The roof was completely uninsulated and hot as heck. Instead of applying insulation directly to the underside of the roof and risking trapped condensation rotting away the wood, I used this radiant barrier to create a air gap between the roof and drywall ceiling of the bathroom. I noticed a difference immediately after installation. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but after completely wrapping the underside of my roof I am convinced this was a great investment as I will save money on my AC bills and my dormer extension will be a much cooler temperature moving forward. All it takes is a stapler and a utility knife, anyone can do it. So happy I bought this.
