You know how things break when you least expect it ? The tip of the bleed assembly that was installed with my pool 5 years ago broke as I was investigating another pool issue, but amazon had this delivered in 2 days. By the time the pool guy got to my house he just installed this part at the same time. I love having Amazon prime for free shopping too .

Not a good replacement for the original one on a Pentair DE Filter
Not a good replacement for the original "ceramic" looking one that originally came with Pentair Filter but having found another suitable replacement. Allows too much DE to pass through it. Ended up having to put a cloth over it to keep DE from passing through and blowing back into the pool.

Part is original PENTAIR part, it works great, just make to zip-tie the top part so it does not get loose under pressure.

used it one time and the end blow off! ...
used it one time and the end blow off! has a threaded plastic end which appears would screw into the head of the strainer, but there is no threats there. blows of every time I backwash to the bottom of the tank.
