Really wanted this for work but ....
Yes, I know this was an inexpensive knife when I got it, but I was hoping that being a Cold Steel knife, it would pass muster, and, well it didn't. The blade came out great, lines are all as close to perfect as you can get, but the first time I opened and closed it, it showed me something to think about. If you look at the 3rd picture straight between the scales, you can see a shiny spot. That's from it locking into place once. At this point I'm worried, because if one lock-up does that to the end of the blade, I'm scared to think what it would look like after one of my normal days of either work/work or home/work. The 8Cr13MoV steel is a lower end steel, and I knew that going in, but just no. I'm too scared of it rounding out, then you only have the rocker-lock, which is one of the best secondary locks out there. Then it's the clip. I didn't even touch it. Too scared it would break honestly, and the way the scale on that side goes from full width, then steps down to a smooth area to clip it on your pocket, there's not enough room under the front of the clip to start it opening. I just have to pass on this one, which is a shame, because I've had really nothing but good products from Cold Steel in the past, and now I'm going to be a lot more careful moving forward.

Stays sharp and easy to sharpen.
Welp I love the steel they use in this knife. Kershaw uses 8Cr13MoV, charges twice as much, and doesn’t hold an edge as long. I have bought kershaw for years because I love this steel and now I can pay half the price for a better blade. Thanks Cold Steel.

good knife
gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars rating because it is made in china not taiwan and my previous cold steel knive was made in taiwan and i feel was a little bit better knife even though this is ok.

One of the worse Cold steel folders
I've been impressed with Cold Steel folders but not this one. I bought a few of these when the price dropped but upon my inspection all of them had up/down movement when the knives were fully opened. Some had side/side play also. I really didn't expect that especially that Cold Steel advertise the Double Safe Hunter having "state of the art" rocker lock. In reality, it's just regular lock back with locking sliding button. The locking feature works but it's not necessary as this is a lockback, not a liner lock. The double safe thing is a gimmick. Why would Cold Steel bother with this double safe rubbish when they could put their solid Tri-Ad lock on this knife and it would have been sturdy and tight lockup. The clip point blade is really nice, shaving sharp and well done satin blade, the handle fits the hand well then there's the lousy blade woble - up/down, side/side. I couldn't even tighten the pivot with torx as the screw just spins around so there's no way to adjust the blade. This is a badly designed folder and not worthy of Cold Steel name.

Look Elswhere!
Blade finish was bad due to what looks like chattering on the grinding machine that formed the blade, lock up was loose and the blade was dull as a butter knife. Yes, I know this is one of Cold Steels bottom rung knives, but for less money you can get a better designed and finished Ganzo or Enlan folder. Disappointing product from Cold steel.
