Access New York City 13e (Access Guides)

The layout of this series of guide books is excellent to have along on the trip. Laid out street by street, area by area, with color coded text for different types of attractions - hotels, dining, shopping, etc.- it is wonderful for finding your way. Much easier than a book with all hotels in one chapter, all dining in another. This way, if I'm shopping in SoHo or visiting an Upper East Side museum and want to have a bite to eat, its a breeze to find a good place nearby. I have used ACCESS NY for many years and find their reviews of dining to be spot on.Highly recommend.

I bought an old copy from a Goodwill and I used it to get around when I visited in July of 2012. When my friends came to visit, I made sure that they knew of it. I then bought the most updated one so that I could have a better sense of prices of places. I love the maps and the information about the old buildings. It's very fascinating.When I went to Ellen's Stardust Diner, there was no mention of singing wait staff in the review. I was glad for the surprise but I would think that it would be one of the main points for people to visit. Also, there is a lack of thrift and consignment stores in this book.

I have a 10-year old version of this book that I've been using all this time. I decided it was time for an update. I don't go to NYC without it. I visit my friend who lives there and she even relies on this book for guidance and suggestions. All of the Access books are great!

Old version. We had to check the internet to see if places were still in businessOtherwise Access books are good for travel. I've used them for USA & abroad.

As a native New Yorker, I find that the Access series is always the most detailed and up to date. I recommend this guide book to anyone who wants to be fully informed on what this great city has to offer.

Lots of great information that is well organized.

Was needed for a play where it was referenced. Arrived clean, intact, and in good shape.
