Does not work with Echo Show 5 or Echo Show 8
I have a couple of Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 5 devices recently purchased (March 2020). Because I have wireless CCTV applications which use the same band (2.4GHz), the WiFi signal inside the house is not the cleanest and that impacts Alexa's video call quality. Looking at product description, I thought this would be brilliant as I could directly connect with Ethernet to get the best video call quality.This is an OTG dongle with MicroUSB, meaning it uses the connected device's 5V power to power the dongle itself. I purchased three of these and I tested all three with Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 5. I also tested these with Samsung tablets and phones with MicroUSB.I can confirm that this device does not function with Amazon Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 8 (the devices do not power up and no LED lights up. However, these aren't faulty as they do work with the Samsung tablets and phones, lighting up and successfully connecting to Ethernet.One Star because, the description specifically says it works with Echo Show and they don't. That's my primary motivation for the purchase. Hope this helps for others who specifically want to buy this for Echo Show.

For Alexa Show 2nd Gen. Might not work on other devices.
Be forewarned: This adapter is intended for the Alexa Show 2nd Generation. Despite the claim that it works with a Samsung tablet, it might not work on your model.The device didn’t register at all on my Moto e5. On my Samsung Tab A it fluctuated between “on” and “off” states every five seconds making it unusable.
