Clairol Root Touch-Up Semi-Permanent Hair Color Blending Gel, 2 Black, Pack of 1

I use this regularly on the graying hairs around my face - particularly in my “sideburn” area! It is magic. I absolutely love that this product is premixed and ready to go. I leave it on my shower and apply about once a week or whenever I notice the gray roots coming in. I shampoo, towel dry, apply the product to the desired area and condition the rest. Wait 5 min and rinse. It’s a perfect solution. I am on my second year of it and I am so happy with the product.

What a bummer! I was so excited about this root touch-up, especially because the application was so easy (no mixing!). Sadly, it was a complete fail for covering my greys. I even left the product on for extra time, definitely more than 30 minutes, hoping for the best. After washing and blow drying my hair, it looked exactly as it did before I even started. Such a let down considering the user friendly application. I was really hoping this was my new go-to root touch up.

This item is great for wig installs it makes the hair look natural i highly recommend this ‼️

It's convenient and works well if you leave it on closer to 60 minutes to cover grey.

I gave this product three stars for ease of use and color match. It DOES NOT COVER GRAY whatsoever! I tried it with damp hair (per the instructions), dry hair, and even let the color process longer than the stated instructions. The color is beautiful, but washes out after one time.

I am 95% gray by the age of 52 so NOT dyeing is NOT an option! But to have a great spray-on root cover-up designed to 100% match whatever Clairol brand I buy is new and FANTASTIC![Also, in case you haven't done the research, Clairol hands-down has the longest gray-covering color on the market, so if you are dyeing to cover gray hair, don't both buying any other product.]Knowing that, you can wait for sales; watch for them at your local pharmacy, everywhere! When I find a Clairol color on a great sale -- I pretty much clear out the ENTIRE SHELF OF THEM! I regularly can find the color for 50% off, or at least often enough to use up my LAST stash of huge purchasing! (Also, if you find them on the clearance rack because they are CLOSE to expiring, just like so many food products, the colors last much longer than the official "expiration date" does.)I haven't seen the spray on sale (except by being a CVS loyalty member and getting a $10/coupon for free each month + a host of other random coupons CVS texts me, which I can "send" to my loyalty card on my phone and then use at the checkout counter if I need root cover-up spray -- or simply to stock up on more.)But this exact match to Clairol's specific colors is new -- at least as far as I've seen in late summer 2023. I save it and use it only for times I'm officiating a wedding or otherwise need to look 100% polished and professional.Lastly, I've tried all the various root cover up applicator styles -- the powers, pens, lipstick-like applications, and different types of sprays. This is definitely the best I've tried so far. A spray, it doesn't leave my hair sticky and frozen (almost like hair spray) and it even lasts for several washes -- which I've NEVER seen in root coverups before!YaYa Clairol, especially for women who got the bad-luck-plucked-my-first-gray-hair-in-college women!

First off- you have to use it correctly as it states. Apply it on freshly washed, wet hair! Not dried hair after a shower, even if it’s clean. Your hair has to be wet and clean. I’ve applied this fresh after a shower, and to clean dry hair, and when my hair was dried the dye did not work at all. Also leave it on for 20+ minutes, and rinse off with cold water.My Hair type: typical Asian, black hair. I have had early greys since my late twenties, and it’s mostly around the front of my face. This lasts 5-6 washes before my greys start to pop up again. It’s saved me HUNDREDS of dollars by not going to the salon to get a touch up.I love how I can reuse the tube. I’ve used the same tube 4+ times now, and there’s still about 1/3 left. I think this product is great for sections of greys, I have not tried it on a full head or greys. 10/10 would recommend

This did not do anything to cover up my gray roots. Complete waste of time. I put it on wet hair, left it for over 30 minutes, used a hair dryer for some heat like I’d read in people’s tips. It all washed away in the initial rinse. Usually I use the permanent root touch-up which works great. I was hoping to cover some grays just for this weekend since I have a salon appointment next week. Don’t waste your money!
