Ecosmart HE 55220 ECO 8 Element

After a visitor reported the hot water wasn’t getting hot in my garage apartment, I decided to buy a replacement anode before buying a whole new water heater for out there. Upon pulling both out, it was obvious which had failed. The replacement fit perfectly and easily, and over 6 months later is still going strong.

Bought as replacement for 2 year old elements. The replacement worked fine and I think water is hotter now. Easy to remove old and install new. Tip: tankless were supposed to have less hard water build up, but still check and maintain every 6 months. Supposed white vinegar circulating through just heater works. I didn't know this and had to replace faulty flow switch so changed heater elements since I had everything apart.

Performs as expected. Did require a little adjustment ( bend element to align threads).

Our EcoSmart heater suddenly began to fail after 4 years of installation in our seasonal cabin. Since we had no experience with this type of heater, it took some time to learn that we should have been doing annual maintenance on the heater to flush corrosion and scale from the elements. After going thru all the diagnostic tests recommended by EcoSmart we concluded it was the elements. Bought these replacements, received in 1 day, installed in the heater and voila, hot water again. Yes, recommend these for this problem and I will add annual flushing to my maintenance schedule when we winterize the cabin.

This was a perfect replacement for the Raypak 017139F in my Raypak E3T 5.5kw heater.

I replaced both heating elements on my Ecosmart Eco 11 with this product and one cylinder immediately sprung a leak after installation because the O-ring was too big to properly seal. If you try and torque down the heating element, the replacement O-Rings will begin to warp, tear, and bulge. They're simply too big to seat properly. Since my original O-Rings from my burnt-out elements were only 2 years old and still in great shape, I swapped them out and used them on the replacement heating elements. See Photo for more details.

I am glad parts are available from EcoSmart. Followed EcoSmart Trouble Shooting Guide downloaded from their website and determined one of the heating element went out in our ECO 11 tankless water heater. Bought and installed this OEM part and the water heater runs like new again. We switched from Rheem electric tankless to EcoSmart, since Rheem DOES NOT make replacement parts available to consumers. Last year our Rheem electric tankless needed a new $40 circuit board after a power surge, but the Rheem wouldn't sell us the part instead wanted us to buy a new unit. No Thanks! Now I always check for replacement part's availability before buying any appliances or equipment.

Este accesorio es muy bueno, con el tiempo el paso del agua por el boyler va dañando la resistencia por los minerales que tiene, y este accesorio (resistencia) permite que el agua se mantenga caliente. Lo recomiendo funciona muy bien como el original que trae el boyler.
